Charming, Private, Detached Studio!

  • I have lived in Sellwood for over 20 years and, in our opinion, it's by far the best place to be in Portland... welcome! If you are coming for work, to visit with family, or simply want to explore and relax, you are sure to find comfort during your stay!

    The Space
    The private studio is very quiet, offering a cozy space you will quickly settle into. It has been built to match the style of the bungalow home built in 1915. While it doesn't have a kitchen, everything is new... refrigerator, toaster, coffee pour over, and hot water pitcher. All the furnishings, linens, and Smart TV... all are new. Very clean and comfortable, naturally cool in the summer (fantastic insulation), warm in the winter... this space is settled in the magical town of Sellwood. Many have shared that this is the best VRBO they have stayed in. We are grateful for the overwhelmingly positive response.

    We have a seasonal garden, a terraced, outside space in which you can listen to the soft sounds of a water feature.

This was a great place to stay for a short time. The room was clean and comfortable and thoughtfully designed.Scot was very responsive and helpful in his communication And, the neighborhood is very nice… could see myself living there.

The property was exactly as described. Very clean and easy access. Although we were there for a quick trip to see our grandson's graduation, we were really happy with the location.Thank you very much Scot!

My stay here was perfect for my needs. Scot and Trish were very responsive and kind. It was clean, ideally located near parks, shops and dining options. Walkable. The kitchen does not have a sink but they made it as user friendly as necessary. I would stay again when I return to the area.

Cozy efficiency with everything needed for a short stay. (No oven or cooktop for long stay - unless you are a microwave master!)Scot responded quickly and kindly to our questions. We enjoyed walking to nearby Muddy Scudder, food truck park, and market. Lovely, quiet neighborhood with great trees/flowers.

Hosts attentive and accommodating. Location within walking distance of a fantastic bakery, a ramen restaurant, a bottle shop, coffee shop, a park with walking trails and a bike path along the Willamette River. The cottage is comfortable, quiet, private. Hope to return to this special place.

Daughter's wedding

This place was ideal for a visit with my daughter who lives in the neighborhood, and family in town for her wedding. Everything was convenient, comfortable and cozy, just as described!

The place was perfect for my needs. Great location, very clean and private, had all the basic supplies, bed was comfy and the host was very helpful. I will definitely stay there again, especially when the weather is nicer. It’s super close to a great park! Only recommendation would be a light in the driveway as the area can be very dark. The sensor light past the driveway is very bright, which is great.
