Clean spacious room with shower/tun combo. Large TV (bigger than 36” in the room amenities) quiet room coffee and tea service in the room. The only issue I had was the staff not contacting me when my room was available like they said they would and the general woman’s bathroom not having any soap in it and I was told that I it wouldn’t be any soap into the Housekeeping person came in at 2pm (it was around 12pm) I was offered sanitizer that was at the front desk for the workers but had barely any left in the bottle. Staff should have access to stock the bathroom when needed We didn’t have breakfast or brunch at Gracie’s because it was a bit pricey and the area has many good breakfast option that are in walking distance or a few train stops away. The train station is literally 2 short blocks away. We did have cocktails and happy hour and dinner are more than a couple of nights at the Driftwood lounge on site. It’s super dark and you need to order your salad dressing on the side but the drinks are good.

Clean room and very nice hotel overall. Staff seemed nice but didn’t need to interact with them much. All that said, the shower was ice cold no matter what I tried. Kinda messed up my morning so they lose a star.

I really wanted to love Hotel Deluxe in Portland. The building itself has that classic old Hollywood charm. Walking into the lobby felt like the kind of place where Bogie and Bacall might have stayed in the 1940s. The lobby, elevators, bar, and even the hallways are grand and elegant and gave a wonderful first impression. Unfortunately, the room itself felt a bit subpar and dated compared to the rest of the hotel. It was very large, which was nice, and the bed was comfortable, but there were some noticeable issues. The headboard had tears, the picture above the bed was slightly off center, and one of the dresser drawers would not stay closed and kept sliding open. The oversized curtains also would not fully close because they were blocked by the dresser. Heating was also a challenge. There was a small mini split that barely warmed the room unless you were sitting under it on the couch. We asked for extra blankets, which were brought up promptly, but they were stiff and heavily starched. They reminded me of the blankets you see handed out to recruits in old army movies, not ones in a botique hotel.The bathroom was clean, but the water temperature was difficult to manage. It started scalding hot, then turned freezing cold with no middle ground, and once the hot water disappeared it never came back. There was also a noticeable draft in the bathroom. The staff were pleasant and the common areas are truly which made me wish the rooms matched the charm of the rest of the hotel.

Large corner room with fab view (#603) incredible brunch, gorgeous lobby. Driftwood room is a storied bar with tons of atmosphere. Downtown locale was perfect for our two nights in Portland.

Good location and very fast WiFi. It’s centrally located and the nearby MAX rail makes it easy to get to and from the airport. However, the hotel feels a bit dated and could use some updates. Staff were not particularly friendly or attentive, and the front desk was often empty when assistance was needed. The bedding could also be improved for comfort.

No hot water in first room, had to switch. Dust collected on bed’s headboard, hair in the bathroom that wasn’t mine, and mystery stains on the curtains… I elected to not explore the other facilities contained based on my experience in the room. Staff’s kindness and customer service was the silver lining.

The room was clean overall. The bathtub had stains which felt weird or unclean. I assume it was clean because everything else in the hotel was clear. In our room, the smoke detector had a consistent flashing night. At different stages of sleep this could be disruptive. The staff was friendly and helpful.
