Room was cleaned at the bare minimum. The bottom mattress sheet had bad stains. The floors needed sweeping. The bathroom shower and tub needed some maintaining. Paint was chipped off of the furniture. Staff was friendly when they were around.

Stay here for parents' weekend recently. Did not have really high expectations, but our experience was actually less than our expectations! The bed was really uncomfortable. No pillow cases (just shams), the bed was hard and covered in a waterproof case that crinkled every time you rolled over. We booked two nights for about $375. When we adjusted the reservation to just one night we only got a $100 refund, so it was $275 for one night. Expedia refused to help. Meanwhile, one day later the hotel is charging less than $100 a night, which makes sense based on the condition of the property, location, etc. Hard to not feel ripped off by Expedia and the Solano Inn.

Outside is a bit dated apparently it used to be under different name and ownership but the room is amazing. It’s a bit off the beaten path but it’s easy short ride from Middletown. I got a room last minute. Room is large with large tv and king size bed. Very cute decor with small fridge with freezer (many hotels don’t have the freezer) microwave coffee maker etc. great stay and Very quiet

Staff was really nice young girly, there was an issue with our bed and so she moved us out of our room to accommodate us. -cleanliness was okay, however smell of food was pretty strong and unpleasant in the hallway. overall it was okay. $200 is a bit high for this location.

Stains in the ceiling. Generally ok but more used and worn out than I expected after seeing the pictures. That being said the AC worked, the bed was fine, the TV was nice with lots of free streaming. If you want better in the Portland CT area prepare to go north of 300 per night

Had bugs crawling in the bed and staff told me they didn’t see any and that it was the best room in the place as if they had slept in every room themselves. Then said they had people coming to spray every month to get rid of the bugs they knew they had ! Fought with me about giving a refund until finally doing so. Completely delusional. Place looks really shabby and worn out in person. Looks like your driving into a broken down trailer park.
