    Property is on the ground floor and one in a block of 9 located near Sao Bento metro and railway stations, up a (very steep!) and slightly down at heel cobbled road, almost opposite the stations. Entry system and security very good. Communication from hosts very good. Clean and minimalist apartment, with sleeping area, kitchen area and nice bathroom with decent shower. Small patio are at the back. Walking distance from Ribeira main attractions and metro stop in quiet location, although planes coming in on way to airport can be noisy early in morning (not every day).. Well equipped kitchen except no washing machine or coffee pods for the coffee machine or dishwasher tabs for the washer. Good value for money and good base for exploring Ribeira especially.

    Good appartment bad positon

    The apartment is located in a very central area of the city, but it's on a street with some dodgy people outside the building (not specified in the listing, even though they were harmless). The check-in process was complicated and not specified at all precisely. I had to call Vrbo support, which wasn't helpful at all. We eventually resolved the issue ourselves. As for the apartment, it's clean and very nice, with a lovely internal courtyard.
