FANTASTIC stay in a fun and great location.

FANTASTIC stay at this new hotel in a rapidly gentrifying area. Everything in the hotel is spotless and new, with a great design sense, simple, comfortable, and fun. We had a room on the street and I was worried about noise, but the renovation of the hotel included 2 layers of windows and it was soundproofed, with blackout shades. Monica, the owner, designed and works in this small gem of a hotel, and goes out of her way to help with anything. Great breakfast also. The neighborhood is totally on the upswing, with many new restaurants and trendy places, and wonderful places to eat. It always felt completely safe, even late at night, and it was still an area that was genuinely lived in my residents in Porto. Shoutout also to a wonderful place to eat about a block down the street called WeePorto, where you can get a personalized winetasting, and great food prepared by the owner, Maximo.

Localisation et chambres top. Service pas terrible

Bon emplacement a l’ecart du centre ville historique de Porto mais a 4 minutes a pieds. Ideal. En contrebas de Baixa que l’on rejoint apres environ 300/400 marches… chambres confortables, spacieuses avec kitchenette. Petit dejeuner copieux, correct. Peu de service, pas d’accueil, bien pour l’autonomie mais a ameliorer pour les conseils

Belle chambre au calme et proche du centre

Chambre sur la rue au 2ième étage : grande, bonne literie, double fenêtre, on entend donc que les motos et les klaxons (il y avait un soir de match où ils ont gagné, mais ce n'était rien par rapport au centre ville...). Excellent et copieux petit déjeuner. Machine expresso dans la chambre avec des capsules. C'est de l'air bnb, 4 chambres en tout donc contact uniquement mail avec la propriétaire qui nous a réservé le taxi du retour.

Porto perfect!

We had one night in Porto. Miragaia House was perfect. Great hidden neighborhood, Miguel was super nice host. The room was great. Nice clean bathroom and kitchenette, VERY comfortable bed as well. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Miragaia House, close to Porto's colourful waterfront 'Cais da Ribeira' (now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site), is a charming house with just 5 guest bedrooms, each done up elegantly. Unlike many other such 'old-world' properties, it has a lift, which is a bonus. The reception, however, closes at 7pm. Those arriving after 7pm are given a code for the door in advance, AS WELL AS a local phone number to call in case of need. So, although we arrived after 10pm, when we discovered the air conditioner in our room was not working, the person we called informed the owner immediately, who turned up in person and fixed it for us, despite the lateness of the hour. LOCATION The hotel is within walking distance of most of Porto's strengths, including: the River Douro, Cais da Ribeira (waterfront), Igreja de São Francisco (with its 18th-century Tree of Jesse), Dom Luís I Bridge, Casa do Infante (Henry the Navigator Museum), Bolsa Palace, Clérigos Church & Tower, Livraria Lello (of Harry Potter fame), São Bento train station (with its approximately 20,000 azulejos that tell the story of Portugal), Praça do Liberdade, Mercado do Bolhão, and the Majestic Café, The short walk from Miragaia House to the Cais da Ribeira is along a section of the route of the old-fashioned tram. BREAKFAST An excellent selection of fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, cereals, liquid yoghurt for cereal, Portuguese breads and cakes, cold meats, home-baked cakes and jams. CLEANLINESS 10*

A ne pas rater

Un hôtel vraiment très bien. Très bien placé pour les visites avoisinantes. Le personnel est très gentils. Les chambres sont très propres et le lieu est très calme permettant de récupérer la nuit des longues journées de visite. Nous le recommandons.
