"We recently had a short stay at Summer Shades Hotel. Having read some mixed reviews beforehand, we wanted to share our perspective, as we found the hotel to be a genuinely lovely experience, especially considering the very reasonable price point. We stayed in a spacious, clean room at the back of the property overlooking the pool. It was beautifully quiet and peaceful (though we can't speak to the noise levels of the front-facing rooms nearer the road). The facilities were exactly what we needed. The pool area is a great place to relax, and the pool bar was a highlight - George served some of the best cocktails we had on our entire holiday. The location is also very convenient, just a short, easy walk into town. What stood out most was the warmth of the staff. They were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay, happily helping us with everyday requests like providing hair dryers and booking taxis. We felt the hotel offered excellent value for money and would gladly return for the welcoming hospitality alone."
