It was exactly as pictured, very clean apartment style, on the first floor of a restored building. Beautiful view, seriously! Right across from the water unlike most of the places around it, on a little side street where parking was never an issue. I had done my research as far as proximity to other things and that held true. It was a short walk to the ferry which we loved using (several times) including getting to a Tides game and to Waterside, and close to a little downtown area with several restaurants, movie theatre, and kids museums. Tons of historic homes, brick sidewalks, old churches. Truly a gem of a spot!

The place in general was nice and cozy, but it's a shame that we have to pay everytime to cross a bridge or tunnel and the streets were very narrow, but since it seems to be the old part of "Towne" I think it's understandable.

This is a great place for beautiful morning and evening views or walks of the harbor, walking distance to downtown Portsmouth and a ferry ride to Norfolk! Comfy beds and easy parking, perfect spot to explore if you have a car or not!! Very clean and nicely updated with some of the original features still in the rooms.
