I would suggest that they upgrade to elevators. Walkin up those small steps /stairs with your luggage was inconvenient. The locks on the door were outdated and hard to open. But it seems safe. Clean room, comfy bed and fresh towels was available. The hotel room was just like in the picture .

It was a joy to stay at The Champs. Staff was great and helpful, views were extraordinary and pool was very nice! Definitely recommend if staying in Portsmouth!

La résidence est une magnifique maison d'un style indéfinissable (possiblement néocolonial) peinte de couleurs vives située à l'entrée de Portsmouth, sur un vaste terrain bordée d'une rivière cascadante. Excellent stay, my cottage was super clean, had all the necessities including beach towels, soap, coffee. Bedroom came with AC allowing for a very comfortable sleep. Owners are wonderful , very friendly and helpful.
