「Friendly staff location is off the city center of course. This is the cheapest place around the area, no heat, no air conditioner,no English. We came on the end of March, pretty chilly during the night when sleep. Bed is not comfy at all, you can even feel the springs. 」

「Belem is a great place to stay. The hotel is located in the main street and the transportation is convenient. There is no lift in the hotel. Nevertheless, the room was satisfactory with its price. I will certainly choose this hotel again when I visit Belem or Lisbon next time.」

「The Mapoula is very comfortable and clean. My daughters and I shared a triple room and there was enough room for us all to move about easily. The toilet/showerroom was spacious and very well kept with plenty of fresh towels. We had little interaction with staff, only check in & out. Both were polite and well informed. An excellent base in the centre of the city. 」
