Trip to Silverwood Theme Park

Beautiful home along the River gave good home base. Lots of room and very private. Wish we would have had more time to spend at the house.

Peaceful and beautiful get away!

I was so impressed with this home. I loved that it was at the end of the street, right on the river, panoramic views of the river. The property was immaculate. Just breathtaking. Exactly the get away I was looking for and then some! I can't wait to come back!

Very Disappointed

We were very excited to start our vacation at this property. The property itself is in a beautiful location on the river. Upon entering the home, the first thing we saw was the hallway carpet going into the master bedroom and it was dirty and stained. All of the bathroom rugs in both bathrooms which are white, we’re all filthy dirty and I had to wash them myself. There was a load of towels left in the dryer for us to fold from the previous guests. There were mice droppings under the kitchen sink. I called the property manager and all they said was thank you for letting us know. I asked if they would send out someone to clean up the mice droppings and leave some traps. The answer was by email through VRBO QUOTE “ We see you’re not happy and you have some complaints so your option is to leave the premises expediently and you’ll be credited for your unused nights” We were quite offended and shocked. They offered us $150 for inconvenience of leaking Kayaks. One of the reasons we rented this property was to use the Kayaks on the river. The $150 did not make up for a weeks stay without the kayaks We also had let them know all of the kayaks leaked. They had huge holes. We took them out and they all started sinking that’s how we found out. We asked if they could be replaced, we were told no. Telling the host about the condition of Carpets, rugs, mice droppings and Kayaks bothered them to the point that they asked us to leave. I have been using VRBO for many years and I’ve never been treated the way that I was treated as a guest at this property. I cleaned up all of the messes including the mice droppings and my husband fixed the kayaks and also the doors that didn’t close properly. We were never thanked not once. My strong advice is FIND ANOTHER PROPERTY! The hosts of this property are really friendly and great initially, they take your money and then they’re done you will not receive any help for any issues whatsoever. I have never had to leave a negative review, but feel that other potential guests should know what we encountered.

Just okay

The location by the water was fabulous, and it was easy to find and accommodated all of us. Unfortunately it was very poorly stocked all around. There were minimal tools and cooking equipment in the kitchen, and the crock pot was missing its interior. There weren’t many towels, and no extra blankets or bedding to be found so everyone was pretty chilly at night as the blankets on the bed were very thin, not comforters. Even though it slept so many people, there were also no extra chairs to go around the dining room table. A bit of a disappointment overall considering it was VERY expensive.
