It has a huge fenced in back yard, with a back deck, a firepit, grilling patio, horseshoes, kayaks, corn hole, lake floats, & more. Close to Pocahontas State Park, with hiking trails and access to the James River! Only minutes away from West Chester Commons for any shopping needs & also Movie theater. Only 35 minutes from The Short Pump Mall & concert venue, VCU campus & downtown Richmond nightlife.

Great getaway
A group of friends from church and I stayed here to attend a marriage retreat at Passion Commmunity Church in Powhatan. We had the best time and the location was perfect for an overnight with multiple couples.

Wedding weekend
We were in town for a family weekend. The house was charming and had everything we needed. The back yard was fenced in and worked out great as we brought our dog. We did not get to use all the outdoor equipment, or take advantage of the lake, but we did enjoy the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors.

A relaxing place out of the way
We went to Richmond to investigate the area for a possible job prospect and picked this property to give us a bit of a break from the city. It was an easy commute to and from the city and also we visited the mountains one day, so an overall good location that gives you some privacy. We had 2 dogs and they were comfortable, the house was small but adequate for 2 people. Lots of little things like coloring books, magazines, etc for someone to relax with. Plenty of towels, toiletries like shampoo and body wash all provided. The pics make it look a bit more remote than it actually is, there are neighbors all around the cul de sac, but very quiet area, the people next door were very friendly too. Easy parking as well. The backyard was equipped with lawn furniture for relaxing and a big fire pit to hang out at night. We had a great time there.

Just like home...
The Sunset Lake rental property was perfect for our family of 6. We were in Virginia for a Soccer Tournament and everyone complained about the hotel the team was staying at, but our accommodations were just like home. Nice that everyone had their own space, a well stocked kitchen, outdoor amenities with the fire pit, grill, and 3-season room. Great place to stay and will stay again if we ever play down that way again.

Lovely, comfortable and well appointed home
My adult family of four were very comfortable in this cute, well appointed cabin. The yard is expansive and there is a cool screened in porch for dining outdoors. Good communication with the host and easy access. We didn’t make it to the lake but saw there were kayaks to use if we had the chance. Maybe next time! I highly recommend this place.
