Fern Canyon is in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in Humboldt County, California. The trail through the canyon is a short, easy walk with several stream crossings. During peak season, boards are conveniently placed across the stream. Ferns found here include California polypody, deer fern, licorice fern, and western sword fern. The fern most abundantly draping the walls of the canyon are western maidenhair ferns.
