Having never been to the area before, I realized later that there are places that we almost booked that would've been very far from the places we wanted to see. This location was just right - close to Oak Hill and Fayetteville for shops/dining, and 10 minutes or so to the New River Gorge Bridge. “We drove from North Carolina to WV for a ski trip at Winterplace ski resort. The host was very responsive and so kind! Can’t thank him enough for being so accommodating with our situation. This cabin is a very easy 12 min drive to the ski resort so it was very quick to get to and from! The host kindly kept the road to cabin plowed as well as the parking spots! Very cozy and very CLEAN. “Fantastic cabin for my family - including 2 teens! Everyone had their own space and privacy and the WiFi and cellular service were great. The stream across the street is beautiful! It was only about 20 minutes or so to some great restaurants and a grocery store. The location was beautiful and there were great places to walk with our dog right near the cabin. Close enough to New River Gorge to enjoy the park but not at all crowded. We were looking to get away from stress and this was just what……
