I stayed in another Pali Ke Kua unit right before this one, which was wonderful and absolutely spotless, so I was expecting a similar experience when I checked into this unit. Unfortunately, I felt so uncomfortable here that I couldn’t wait to leave. I walked in the first day to find 3 dead roaches on the floor in different rooms, a parade of tiny ants on the counter, kitchen smelled like bacon, bedroom floor hadn't been swept, couch was covered in sand, spider web across one dining chair, lanai table hadn’t been cleaned. Found hairs and a stain on the bed, plus more hairs under the covers. I spent hours washing & drying the bedding before actually going to sleep that night. There was a broken window next to the front door when I checked in and the screen was bent out of shape. I had not contacted management about it, but the next day I came back to find someone had attempted to straighten the screen and fix the window with tape, which made me incredibly uncomfortable because I was never told that someone would be entering the unit or working on anything. The day after that, I was in the unit when a man came by and started tearing tape off the window. Of course it startled me. Repairs should be done before guests arrive or management should at least be alerting guests about them. I also killed roaches in this place every single day and just could not get comfortable. If it was maintained & cleaned properly and had better mattress/pillows, it could be nice. The surrounding property is beautiful and quiet, just wouldn't recommend this unit in its current state.
