PRIVATE OCEANFRONT RETREAT - LARGE DECK, PANORAMIC VIEWS, MINUTES FROM ACADIA

  • This lovely home we call Stonehaven is serene, secluded, scenic, sunny, spacious and situated on a one acre wooded lot - only steps away from the shoreline. As you walk in, you will be greeted by the spectacular ocean view. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a king size bed and a petite / private room with a twin bed.

Walk into the living area and there is a cathedral ceiling with windows from top to bottom and a futon that comfortably sleeps one. Go upstairs to the spacious loft with two twin beds, one with a pull-out twin bed. There’s plenty of room to sit and watch a movie. During high tide, look out to the ocean and you will feel as if you are on a cruise liner…. without the sway of course.

Discover the beauty of Maine in this quiet community!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in this roomy and comfortable house with ocean view. It is located in a quiet area and it takes about 10 minutes drive to the Schoodic section of Acadia NP. Our kids loved the fire pit which was built right on shore in front of the beach area. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to make some lunches and dinner. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Acadia NP again.

We loved our stay in this beautiful, clean, and quiet home right on the ocean. Our family of four spent an incredible 12 nights on the property cooking homemade meals, sitting out on the deck in the mornings, and enjoying beach bonfires at the fire pit right on the beach out front. The location was also perfect for adventuring - we explored Acadia National Park, local beaches, and delicious food options nearby. The neighbors were also very kind and attentive, available for anything we needed during our stay. As a side note, we loved the minimalist decor with Polish pottery and weaving on the walls. These details made the home feel so cozy and perfect for our relaxed family vacation. Thank you to the hosts for the wonderful summer stay!

This is a special place tucked away by itself on the ocean, exactly as advertised. There are neighbors but they are far enough away that you don’t notice. I loved being able to walk right out to the rocks and see the ocean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. The deck is lovely to lounge on as well. Place is very clean and has everything you need. It is not huge but big enough that you don’t feel cramped. Sometimes photos make things look bigger than they are, in this case the photos were accurate, the place is very nice. Schoodic peninsula is a short ride away and is very beautiful. There are not many places that I would go back to, but this might be one of them .

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a great time and enjoyed our stay. We were only able to stay for a couple nights and will have to stay longer next time. This was our first ever trip to the northeast and absolutely fell in love with the views.
