Relaxing and Spacious
This is a perfect cabin to stretch out and relax. The outdoor space has a garage that is great for rainy days and a fire pit for those night time s’mores. My family, my parents, and brothers family each had a room for privacy. The kids could throw a ball in the grass, dribble a basketball in the driveway, and chill out with a movie inside. Beaches were close and nice. Shopping and things to do were all close by and easy to navigate too. You don’t have to bring the sand and dirty beach towels home with you there is a washing machine and dryer. Next time we will bring our bikes. We never had a problem but was in contact with the owners the day we started our stay and the day we left and contact info was well posted. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place to gather
My brother lives in Gladwin but does not have enough space to house the 6 of us. This place was clean, comfortable and accommodating for a large group to sleep, stay, visit and play games.

Yearly Golf Trip
My friends and I get together every year in Houghton Lake. This is the first time in the last decade we decided to try out a VRBO in town and we will certainly be coming back, she was a great host and we had an awesome time.

Nice large home
The house was very open with a stocked kitchen, including a crockpot and griddle for family use. The beds were great and comfortable. The house is close to everything, which made shopping and eating out convenient. I would absolutely rent this home again.

Close to beach plenty sleeping room clean and spacious
Only complaints are first not very many cooking supply’s like pots and pans were not very good almost like the cheapest you could get to cook with and very limited pots and pans defiantly not enough to cook a regular meal. The main reason I stayed here or a VRBO was so I didn’t have to eat out much and bring much like camping. Also there were restrictions on what we could use like cups. Finally it’s advertised there was a grill I reached out and asked owner if there was propane she said yes but that we may want to bring a tank. We couldn’t fit it and we decided to only do hotdogs so figured if there’s enough for that great. When I went to make hot dogs for our big family hotdogs I was extremely disappointed there was absolutely no propane and at 175 a night you would think those few things would be of use. Other than that nice property clean close to everything lots of room and quiet neighborhood.

Thank you for your comments and we will certainly assess the kitchen cooking situation as we did have a fully stocked kitchen. I am a but confused on what you are mentioning about a "cup restriction" as we are unaware of any restrictions on use of any kitchen utensils. Our property manager is very apologetic about the propane situation, she knew the tank had propane but was unsure how much so suggested you may want to bring an extra. This has caused us to look into purchasing an extra tank so this doesn't happen again. We really appreciate the feedback and hope you will be back again.

HL Central
Great property for a group. Plenty of beds and room to hang out. Central to many things around HL. We fished the big lake made an easy run to St. Helen as well.

Short notice
Racing around to find a decent place to stay for 3 adults to relax and unwind I thought would be a real task, but I found a house that was more than enough space,had everything in it from blankets to dishes....even hot cocoa to rent through vrbo....very pleased...we'll be back!

Spacious, well stocked house with comfortable beds and room for a large group. The garage has plenty of room to store your toys and chairs and the driveway has room for a pair of trucks and boats.

Location was convenient to shopping, restaurants and events. Cottage was roomy and allowed children play space with separate room for adults to watch TV. Air conditioning was a bonus.

Cutest little cabin with everything we needed for our stay. Second living room is huge with three couches. Back porch was peaceful and equipped with two lounge chairs. Nice kitchen, nice flooring. It was a little warm with out air conditioning as it was 90 both days that we stayed. All around a great place!

Great stay
The house is actually bigger that I thought. We had a family 8ce fishing trip. We slept 9 men comfortably. There is 5 beds, 2 futons, and 2 couches. Plenty space. The owner of the property was awesome to deal with. Would stay here again and would highly suggest to snowmobilers. This property is about a block from then lake. Overall a great experience.

This place was amazing! had everything we needed to make it a perfect stay. owners responding quickly when we couldn’t figure out the t.v., there was enough sleeping arrangements for more than 8 people if needed. I even forgot my face cream and she is mailing it back to where we live! If you’re ever looking for a place in houghton lake, this is the one!

Furnace not working at arrival. Phone call to owner and a repairman was on site for repair promptly. Large and spacious house with plenty of room for 7 adults. Clean and all the necessary amenities available. Would definitely rent again. Large garage for group gatherings.

It had plenty of space with the 2 living rooms kitchen was a little tight and short on appliances no electric griddle and crockpots and could have used some games and something to sit things on in the the bedrooms. talked to them about it and they were glad for the suggestions . Relaxing time
It was enjoyable to get away from all of the negativity and just focus on relaxing for a few days. We had a pleasant time staying at your place. The weather was a little cooler after all of the heat this summer so it was good we didn’t need air conditioning (fans). The house has lots of room and places to sleep. Kitchen items were appreciated. Lots of room in the fridge and cupboards. The knives in the block could use sharpening. Beds were comfortable too. Had a great time and enjoyed walking through the peaceful neighborhood. We didn’t need to use them but thank you for the washer and dryer. All in all, our few days away were very satisfying! Thank you!

Cabin near the lake
Enjoyed our stay for a last minute COVID getaway. Brought my boat the kids enjoyed swimming in Houghton lake. Higgins lake was beautiful. Caught a few walleyes on Houghton lake. The house has a lot more room than we needed. However it is older, 7’ ceilings and no A/C. We managed without with our nights sleep being refreshing. Bonus al fresco dining NO bugs,
