This is the place!

I stayed 3 nights. It was great! I was visiting my daughter nearby. We had dinner with some of her friends--three courses--delicious. Great views--I saw 2 whales from the patio by the pool! Birds, butterflies, and blooming flowers.

Buen servicio personalizado en un lindo sitio

La Hosteria tiene una vista preciosa al mar y está en la cima de una pequeña montaña. Muy cerca de Puerto López.muy buen servicio personalizado, muy buena comida mañanita, el estado de la habitación es bueno. Mi única recomendación es que sustituyan las cobijas por plumones.

Un hotel acogedor con un diseño único.

Nuestra estadía en el hotel fue agradable. El hotel es muy acogedor , tranquilo, la piscina es refrescante, en fin muy cómodo para pasar unas cortas vacaciones.

Amabilidad y decepción

Dentro de un trato amable este 'Lodge' mostró en su sector administrativo un manejo poco profesional de las formalidades del contrato de estadía: sobre el "precio total a pagar en el Hotel" dado por Hoteles.com, ellos cargaron impuestos por el 22% y luego de efectuado el pago con tarjeta de crèdito dilataron la entrega de la factura hasta que fue imposible esperar más por razones de itinerario, prometiendo enviarla por vía electrónica lo que la hacía invàlida para el derecho de reintegro para extranjeros al abandonar Ecuador. Aún así, la factura nunca se materializó a pesar de nuestros frecuentes reclamos por email, al principio respondidos por el funcionario aparentemente suplente, y desde hace tres días completamente ignorados. Pena porque el lugar tiene potencial desde los puntos de vista de ubicación, ambientación y varios de sus servicios, pero NO para pagar $124.88 MÁS el 22% de impuestos NO DEDUCIBLES para extranjeros por la ineficiencia o mala voluntad de una "oficina administrativa radicada a màs de 300 km, en Quito".

Very nice place to stay

Very helpful staff, although in our case we were practically the only ones at the hotel. Still, very nice location overlooking the ocean on a hilltop. Pool needed cleaning, but overall very nice.
