"My stay at Locando di San Martino was great. The place was perfectly located in the middle of Matera with beautiful views through the window and outdoor sitting areas. They offer a free shuttle to and from the parking structure if you have a car, as you cannot park or drive near the hotel because of ZTL areas. This was so convenient and organized. You make a reservation with the parking structure online, and they answer you pretty quickly. Once you arrive, you just call the hotel and they'll pick you up within 10 mins as it's pretty close. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"We were knocked out by the comtempory feel and stylish interior to what is simply a cave. It was fresh and perfect. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Even the lovely lady at breakfast remembered what we liked to drink with our breakfast. "

"Trattandosi di un viaggio di lavoro non ho utilizzato le offerte come SPA e piscina. Ma, l'hotel è molto confortevole, possiede un vasto parcheggio gratuito, è ubicato in periferia (cosa che in una città piccola come Matera è realmente ininfluente) quindi senza le problematiche della ZTL e del traffico mattutino urbano. La colazione è ottima e variegata (potrebbe migliorare se le bevande calde fossero preparate a richiesta e non con la "macchinetta", che non fa un caffè o un cappuccino di qualità adeguata al gusto di un cliente italiano). Stanza confortevole, ampia, con tutte le dotazioni necessarie (apprezzato l'angolo di lavoro con scrivania degna di questo nome, poltroncina ergonomica e punto luce). Menzione di lode per la qualità di materasso, cuscini e biancheria del letto. Un filino rumoroso il climatizzatore."

"Staying in a cave room but having an entryway in the room with windows out on the gorgeous Matera scenery is perfect. We also had a porch with chairs to sit outside. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh and delicious food served to us by the most welcoming people you could ask for, Angela and Agnese. We also had a wonderful piano player, Gianni, at breakfast every day - now that's a first for us!. If we went back to Matera, which we hope to do some day, we would stay here again. The only negative is WiFi is not reliable in our room. Unfortunately across all of southern Italy our 5g T-mobile plan didn't work either so we used physical maps. We stayed a week and so were able to see a lot of this magnificent area. Most people only stay two or three nights and I feel that is not enough. "
