The staff is not very friendly and it can be hard to get basic service such as beach towels, water and napkins at the buffet and it can be hard to communicate with staff if you do not speak Spanish. Bartenders will highly prioritize Spanish speakers and loud Americans. The resort does not have a lot of activities to do and the shows are short and late. The resort is not very accessible for elderly or disabled people as it is a very long walk to the restaurants, no elevators, inconsistent access to get a ride with the service shuttle. The staff are very persistent trying to get you to book excursions and massages or pay for photography, they even called our room at 8:45 am on two occasions when we’re trying to sleep in. The beach vendors will constantly harass you to buy their goods and become visibly and verbally upset when you don't. Reservations appear like they don’t matter because it’s first come, first serve anyways. The food is average—some nights are good, some are just okay. The maids are good at keeping the room clean but the beverage guy is not very consistent when it comes to restocking the mini fridge. The menu at “ocean eats” is below average but the delivery guy is fast and friendly.

Our overall impression of Ocean Blue and Sand was that it is a well-run resort with plenty of staff. We especially liked the ground which were beautiful and well-kept. The staff were efficient and helpful. The food was very good and the coffee shop was superb. There was also plenty of entertainment, although it was virtually all Spanish-orientated. Another big plus for us (we are in our 70s) was the circular teams that run all around the resort. The beach is gorgeous and the pools are very nice too. My only gripe would be that it was impossible for us to dine in the Steakhouse restaurant unless you paid extra and booked the "Privilege" package even though the steakhouse was in theory open to everyone. Despite our gripe about the steakhouse, I would give Ocean Blue and Sand 9.5 stars out of 10 and would visit again.

Very spacious and clean room, maid service was spot on. Pools were nice and big, a bit cold but nothing that would prevent you from dipping in. Bar tenders at the swim-up bar were very attentive and friendly. They had a good variety of entertainment and activities. Food was amazing at the Tortuga and Carey buffet, always a different theme and always good. Waiters at the buffet were a little bit rude though, they seemed to be annoyed and almost had to beg for drinks service most of the time. I even had to talk to the manager one time, due to the rudeness of one waiter. However, there were one or two that made a difference by providing excellent service. Evening staff at Mike’s Coffee were excellent, they even knew our order as soon as we walked in, very friendly and serviceable as well. We tried one of their specialty restaurants, Route 66, and didn’t like it at all. Portions were poor and tasteless. We ended up at the buffet right after as we weren’t satisfied. The staff was great though. Due to this experience, we decided not to try the other specialty restaurants and opted to have all our meals at the Carey and Tortuga buffet to avoid wasting our time. The evening bar tender at Carey, Rabi, was amazing and made our dinner fun and enjoyable. Room service was terrible. We placed an order and never received it. The lady who took our order sounded as if she was in a really bad mood and was told to go get stuff ourselves if we needed. We never called room service again.

Tilava huone ja hyvä sänky. Upea hotellialue, kuin pieni kylä. Kiitettävästi ravintoloita ja baareja, ihana kahvila, keilahalli yms. Henkilökunta paikoin ystävällistä, mutta tippirahaa kannattaa varata mukaan paremman palvelun takaamiseksi... Oma concierge aivan huippu, meillä loistava Derlin joka auttoi aivan kaikessa!

I fan in 6701 is digusting. The food should be upgraded with restaurants opening everyday and at the same time. None of the staff was on the same page. They didn’t know what time or what restaurant was open at certain hrs. The Buffet was places in the middle of a large building with 2 entrances from and back and that was considered 2 buffet restaurants??? NO AUTHENTIC DOMINICAN FOOD!! Will not be going back due to food and staff.

La habitación muy limpia. El servicio amable. Nos llevaban todos los días agua, sodas, presidente, sprite, zero coke. Toallas limpias. Rellenaban el jabon y recogian la basura y camas. Los servicios de buffets excelentes, mucha variedad. Mikes cafè es otra cosa una delicia el café frio como caliente. La variedad de cakes deliciosos y la galleta de gengibre superó mis expectativas. Gente càlida, amables y súper trabajadores. Viven alegre y eso me encanta. Todos los días hay algo que hacer ya sea playa, piscina, teatro, shopping, caminar, heladerias, bowli g, spa. En fin tiene de Todo. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Beach was kept clean - racking seaweed several times a day. Pool areas & pools were clean and water was a pleasant temperature. Coffee shop was excellent. A few staff members were excellent and interacted with us....most did not. Food was mixed: Steak house was good, Route 66 was terrible, rest were okay. Bars at the beach and pools weren't great, others were much better. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. Thank you!

Llevo 15 años visitando este hotel y de verdad que no me arrepiento del personal desde mi llegada todo fue super ,mi estadia para pasar mi cumpleaños por 5 vez y esta vez en el dia de accion de gracias Expectacular , fueron 9 dias que cada dia la pasaba mejor. Y donde cada años coincides con peronas que vas conociendo tras los años. Gracias a todo el personal cada uno ofrece el mejor servicio. William mil Gracias y super agradecido por tu atención Moreta, Antonio atentos con super buena atención buenísimo servicio muy agradecido en la barra de la playa , Nilson, Yovani , Thomas en Privilege pendientes al gran servicio , Juana , Chelo gracias por sus atenciones. Amazing resort , everything you need from life music, night club, shopping, entertainment, great food different food every day at the buffet, amazing coffee shop, is just the customer service is very low. Waiting so long if you need anything in the room, eyes rolling when you asked for something, the people from the Italian restaurant are very mean. But I talk to one of the managers Máximo , who was very professional and listen to what I had to say and fixed my problem! So big thank you for Máximo!

Staff was not friendly. Reservations were next to impossible to get for the restaurants. Felt like we had to beg for refills on our sodas in the dining rooms. It says no reserve on the sun chairs and umbrellas however when we went early in the morning they were all reserved with nobody around. Felt like seconds to the privilege group. Pools were beautiful. Liked so with activities.
