The property was beautiful, the pool was great, the food average, customer service lacking especially in the restaurants for some reason team members were upset. The cleaning ladies were great, the swim up (pool side) was also great. If you love beach water this is not your ideal hotel, waves were harsh and impossible to swim.

The property was not in good condition, there was mold in our room hade to move rooms due to cleanliness. When it rained it leaked all over the place the lobby , gym, bar, everywhere.The only thing this place has is Miguel Garrido. He was amazing and tried to make our stay better. I would never stay here. The pictures are not how the place really looks. It’s not worth a penny.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away. The staff was warm, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. Servers at El Faro restaurant were great! Also bartenders by pool area great service and friendly. The grounds are well kept and I loved walking around. At the buffet it was hit and miss with servers at least as regular customers once we became privileged service was fast and attentive. Our butler greeted us and took is to our room when we arrived however experience after that was not great. Didn’t follow up on restaurant reservations, didn’t ask how everything was. And the day of my departure he sent a message at 11 am once I was already at the airport. Beds were comfy and room overall were good. Maintenance was happening on the roof which made it loud and hard to rest.

Pool: loosing tiles, multiple children and adults with cuts on feet due to this issue. Room: Dirty upon arrival, like it hadn’t been swept at all. Cleaned tables and remote due to traveling so the children and rag was black due to dirt. AC stopped working several times randomly for hours long spurts. Turning room into sauna. Staff: 4-5 out of 100s of staff actually acted like they wanted to be there. No one was outwardly helpful or made our stay more enjoyable. Essentially acted inconveniences just to order a drink at the coffee shop of main pool bar. Food: Bland and the same all week long. If you’re not on the app at 8am sharp, you can not get reservations. Noticed that if you didn’t book “privilege” you received no help. The sellers on market night are rude and pushy… not sure why the resort would want their guests harassed. We had to completely avoid walking down the main walkway the nights they were there. The ocean in front of the hotel is not swim-able! Double red flags and rocks. The area that is swim-able is accessible on the adults only side of the resort. When we tried to find shade there for out two small children we were yelled at July security and told we had to move very aggressively. We will not be returning and would not recommend. I would have told the front desk the issues we had, but upon check out, no one even asked how our stay was.

The attention is received at Ocean El Faro was phenomenal. Great place for a family vacation. So many activities. Staff is wonderful. Franklin was our butler and was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay! Alberto at the pool bar was also great! Overall great experience. This is my second time here and can’t wait to come back!

A Week at Ocean El Faro and had a really enjoyable all-inclusive experience overall. The resort is beautiful, modern, and very large, with lots to explore. The lighthouse area stands out and gives it a unique feel. Be ready to walk a fair bit, though there are carts to help get around. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was consistent, and kept the minibar stocked. There were a few minor signs of wear, but nothing that affected our stay. Food worked especially well for our family. Our kids actually preferred the buffet because they could choose exactly what they wanted, which made meals easy and stress-free. There was plenty of variety, and the dessert section was a highlight for them every day. The pools and beach were great, with options for both lively and relaxing vibes. The lazy river was a fun bonus. The beach was ok for the location with some occasional seaweed that staff did manage. Drawback: rocks all around so I would recommend watershoes. Go out in water directly infront of light house seemed to have less. There was always something happening, from daytime activities to evening shows, which were fun and well done. Staff were friendly overall, though service could vary at times. And slower during busy periods. (not a deal breaker) It’s not ultra-luxury, but it offers solid value. Overall, a great family resort with plenty to do and a relaxed atmosphere. My family created some amazing memories here and the price was right.

Traveled with my wife and 2 kids (12 and 7) on their spring break. . Easy check in and check out. Property had a nice layout and was easy to get around by foot. Buffet service as expected (omelette station, fruits). Was hoping for more local cuisine. Restaurants were hit or miss (japanese, italian, american). Fitness center had enough space and adequate equipment, Was never too crowded. Pools were always crowded. Lazy river was great for the kids. We mostly spent our days at the beach. On the side of the main beach was a lagoon where the waves were calm and the water was clear and warm. Not sure if it’s officially part of the property, but everyone went there for a dip. Nightly shows were entertaining (fire show, acrobats, Michael Jackson tribute). Shout out to Luis and Domingo at the beach bar. Also shout out to our concierge, Jose Miguel Jimenez took excellent care of all of our needs (dinner reservations, hotel room needs, luggage checkout), even on his day off. Was very convenient staying connected with him throughout our stay and he made sure all of our needs were being satisfied.

The air conditioning only worked one day in my room, in my mother's room they had to change it because the air was damaged. They need more staff in the restaurants because they don't come to serve you or they arrive late since they don't give enough. The host only made us a management then he forgot everything. The food was very good, and the cleanliness.

For the price this property was good. The ocean is horrible and you cannot swim in it. The cove is nice but I am EXTREMELY disappointed there is no seating right next to it in the hotel . In fact it is infuriating “privileged” sits in a location that families cannot access so your towels and personal items are in the sand to enjoy a swim in this area. Property was clean , rooms are nice but out dated and workmanship for repairs horrible . Air conditioner did not work properly. It is definitely a pool vacation unless you stay at beso adult only privileged .
