My stay at Ocean El Faro resort was amazing! Check in with super simple the young lady that helped me was great. She was able to upgrade my room. The resort is beautiful clean and everyone was super nice. I’m really thankful for Carlos Enrique Buayone my guest specialist that would send me the daily activities every morning through WhatsApp. My room was super clean and so cute with a swim up pool. The food, drinks, club and bars were amazing, I give the resort, a 10 out of 10.

We literally couldn’t possibly have had a better experience if we tried. Everything was perfect. Anyone who says otherwise has unrealistic expectations of a country like the Dominican. The resort is immaculate. Is there a tile missing from the pool deck or a bit of dampness in the rooms? Sure. But like, get over yourself if that’s your main review. Food was delicious. There was a French fry card, a pool-side handmade crepe station, several buffets, and a multitude of sit down restaurants. We were not privilege, so we did not get advanced reservations, but you can definitely get reservations. All you have to do is relax and take whatever time you can get. If there was an 830pm available, we grabbed it. You would never go to a big city and expect there to be availability at every restaurant in the city so why would you here? We got reservations at every single one of the restaurants over the course of our week. Sakura and Margarita were our favorites. We loved it. Already planning to return.

Evelin, Gabriel and Aritzia at the front were excellent. The rooms were very nice. Clean and excellent house keeping. Pools and activity facilities were clean and well maintained. The water park is amazing for small Children. Shallow and the slides are slow. The life guards need more consistency in regards to rule enforcment. Some would try to not allow parents with small children to take them up to the slides while others would let adults wih no children enjoy them. Upon asking for clarification we were informed that the rule was that parents could take their children up but slides were only to be used by the children. No adults. The lazy river was amazing. Lots of water features for a more exciting float. The beach had beautiful sand, clear clean water and lots of chairs. If you follow the beach towards the El Besos side there is a small protected inlet which is much calmer and amazing for small children. It is off the resort but its directly attached. We were able to see fish and pelicans which was quite fun. The bars were nice but quite slow. They vould have used another bar tender at each location for the amount of people using them. The drinks are mixed very strong and they do an excellent job keep track of who to service next. The restaurants were very nice and El Mercado as the buffet was great. The only issue with then was the lack of easy vegetarian options and display. At El Mercado, which is where we ate most of time, the vegetarian options were often

We had a great vacation here. The adjacent beach was superb, the food in the buffet was generally excellent, the entertainment well organised and the staff mostly friendly and helpful. The concierge Jose tipped it to 5*. Definitely a few niggles: room quality didn't match the listing, some of the restaurants were iffy and certain elements felt gougey (e.g. "privelege" and the on site store) but nothing major enough to detract from the rating.. We'd go again.

I had a great time at Ocean El Faro resort. Me and my family stayed there for a week between January 10th and January 17th. Resort was beautiful, our room was average at best but I didn’t care a lot about the room. For the first time we had a butler ( because we booked through Expedia). Jose Miguel was the nicest person ever and he went far and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. He asked us what time we would like to have dinner and every day he booked a restaurant for us. If we had any questions I would just ask him and he answered right away even in his day off. The staff in general was very friendly and entertainment by the pool and at night was great. Food was plentiful and delicious. Beach was also nice and if you like to swim there is an area bordering the resort which is perfect for swimming. I would definitely recommend that resort.

Amazing resort with amazing staffs. They really care about the customer. By providing us with a butler (Jose), they made sure all we need are taken care of. I'm very happy with their service and amenities.

Food was amazing(my husband and I are gluten free and they had options for us as well as gluten free bread) , Mikes coffee was great, beach was awesome but the waves were crazy! Pools were clean and entertainment was awesome Everyone was so friendly and welcoming but the one person that stood out the most was Jose Miguel Jimenez He was on top of everything! If we needed anything I would text him and he would reply right away! Super nice, professional and always with the smile. I’m so glad he was our butler/ concierge for this 7 day stay

STANLEY (Richmond Hill)

Overall decent resort that is not very big. The lazy river was one of our highlights but getting a floaty could be challenging. Our favourite restaurant was the Steakhouse, one key note is if you usually have your steak medium rare ask for rare. The Blue Moon restaurant was a big Zero for us, avoid if possible. The buffet was above expectations as the breakfast and lunch options were great. The beach area directly in front of the resort was mostly filled with seaweed, however there is a small lagoon just to the side where it is nice and enclosed with very small waves. Staff is overall pretty friendly and courteous.

Food was only adequate. The time share presentation and continued annouance about going when we already did along with vendors selling souviers. It is not acceptable to steal 2-3 hours of someone's vacation without informed consent. We were essentially trapped.

The hotel amenities were okay, such as the lazy River, pools, kids playgrounds. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was friendly. Some restaurant staff appeared to be quite unhappy and taking it out on guests. The staff at Jollysplayhouse didn’t speak a word of English which was quite concerning. The food was atrocious, thank god for eggs. Juan the omelette guy was amazing. Entertainment was not bad, we had enjoyed it.
