Everything stood out! As soon as you walk onto the resort you feel the vacation. Service is A+, room was very cozying and amazing. The views are so gorgeous I didn’t want to leave. The guests are all considerate and nice. Perfect resort for couples!

If the loud, party atmosphere is not your jam, then Selectum Hacienda is for you. So quiet and serene. The staff is all very professional, kind and accommodating. The breakfast is a true feast. You are steps away from the beach or you can choose to relax poolside. This truly was what we needed.

This is an expensive hotel; the rating reflects the price-point. Photos of the hotel are way out of date. None of the rooms have a beach view, although you can hear waves in the distance. The hotel’s beach is not for lounging or swimming: it’s full of weeds, trash, and rocks. The manager advised us we could walk 10 minutes to the public beach to find an area for swimming, and we could rent a lounger there. We checked out the public beach; those loungers were filthy and crowded! There is a huge resort that has commandeered a large area of beach, and a lot of local vendors trying, fairly aggressively, to sell services or goods. The hotel rooms are clean, as are the pool and hot tub. The staff are friendly and try their best, but the front office was often closed. It often felt as if management couldn’t be bothered to be around. Communications were very challenging: phone calls and emails were never answered, and we could only ever get help via the Expedia message service. The restaurant menu is limited, but all the meals we tried were tasty and nicely presented; breakfast was very good. Our room was very dark during the day, and too light during the night, thanks to the type of shutters installed in the windows. Furnishings were adequate but could definitely be improved.

Samet and his staff were excellent - professional, friendly and responsive. Really loved the beautiful property and comfortable room and the smaller boutique hotel experience. We would definitely come here again :) Some areas of the property and buildings are in need of some updating and repairs... Which seem to be ongoing.

Amazing experience!!!! Paradise like stay plus everyone that works here is the nicest most friendly and attentive. It was sooooooo incredible that changed my plans in DR to stay 2 more days here for a total of 5, I wish I could stay even longer. Definitely will be back. I had the nice and quiet and nature and great food and really enjoyed every second of being here … btw still as I reserved more days to stay. Rooms were great. Got a free upgrade because we were the only ones there for the back half of our trip. Very quiet and peaceful. Not a ton of food options but everything was good. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They have bottled water and bagged ice available whenever you need it. Great for a quick romantic getaway. 40 min from the airport. The beach the house is on is gorgeous and has a great 20ish minute walk to the end where there are caves you can wade out to. It’s a great surfing beach where you can take beginners lessons or go to the more advanced side with sizable waves. Management was great. Highly recommend staying here for a more peaceful all inclusive than the mega resorts. Will probably stay here again.
