"Very safe feeling neighborhood. No problem walking around at night. The hotel complex is also safe and comfortable. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, especially the manager Jesus. Pool was clean and refreshing. There are lot flowers and plants which blow a lot leaves and petal in the pool in the windy afternoons. It makes for a lot of laughs trying to keep them out. "Unfortunately the location showed the apartment was located at Playa Bonita but it is actually located in Chumical which is 20km away. We were advised by friends who reside in Playa Bonita, whom we wanted to stay close to, that taxis/Uber’s dont go to Chumical and the area is for “adventurous” travelers so we forfeited our non-refundable booking. The host offered a different date but this didn’t resolve the above concerns. "
