「Great spot for 2 people in Newburgh! 」

「Worst hotel experience I have ever had. Grounds were unkept. No one was at the front desk when I first arrived. Waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive and had to leave for dinner. Came back to find out that they were overbooked.」

「This property looks NOTHING like those very nice photos they show. It’s unkempt and actually dirty inside. The clerk was working behind bulletproof glass. The parking lot has numerous people hanging around. There are signs warning of human trafficking as you go in and also in the dingy lobby. The clerk actually told me that I didn’t have to stay there if I didn’t want to, because the ‘vibe’ of the place had changed since it changed ownership. I took his advice and left and now I’m trying...

「Extra $12 was charged at check in. Kitchent is empty/nothing: no plates, cups, spoon or anything. Who need such Kitchent.」

「Check in/ check out was a little wonky. The overhead light in the room was ghastly, but the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The room climate control was also good.」

「Nachdem wir uns spontan für einen Wochenendtrip ins Hudson Valley entschieden hatten, stellten wir fest, dass dies das günstigste Hotel in der Gegend war, zumindest zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt – der Check-in verlief problemlos und das Zimmer war schön. Die fußläufige Erreichbarkeit der Innenstadt von Fishkill war ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt für Abendessen. Ich werde dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall für die Zukunft im Hinterkopf behalten.」

「Excellent stay…exactly what we needed」

「We could not find location in dark and rain. Only given GPS info and no name of hotel or property. Once we arrived guard at guardhouse could not assist as we could not affirm name. When finally able to track down contact info for the vacation property company that listed the rental they had to share hotel front desk info and that’s when we learned name was Windrose On Hudson. Very stressful situation- enjoyed historical location. Great facility, not so great TV/streaming set-up… cable. 」
