Very cute older motel. Some updating has taken place. There are reviews of the bed being “the most comfortable bed” however it is my opinion that it was hard and not very comfortable. The actual location is really quite beautiful. Right on the beach. There are places to get food nearby. I would go back to stay again.

Beautiful spot. Cozy rooms. Best place to start is the incredible waterfront view. Could sit for hours enjoying the ocean from their sea wall. Due to COVID there was no direct interaction with the property owners/staff. The contactless check in system worked very well though like everything during this pandemic the lack of human contact takes some getting used to. Messaging was all very friendly and courteous. Room was tight. Tough watching tv comfortably because of the closed quarters. They’ve made do with what they have to work with. Small bathroom and shower. An older property though some updating has been done. Very clean. Basic amenities that most rooms come with now- microwave, fridge, coffee plus a kettle which was a nice extra. Bring your own tea if you prefer decaf. Some roadside dining nearby, but the better spots require a 15 minute drive south to Qualicum Beach or 5 minutes north to Bowser, (highly recommend the Footless Rooster for coffee etc) Fairly quiet though there is some traffic noise from the island highway (19A) as it is a popular route for motorcycles. All in all, I would recommend as a nice getaway spot at a very reasonable price.

Very nice ptopertty, beautiful view. However no bbqs on premises as described in amenities. That was only disappointment as we came food ready to bbq.

Seaside location was gorgeous. Sweeping West Coast views under a big blue sky. Morning beach walks, when the tide was out, were wonderful.

The new check-in/check-out process couldn't be simpler! I miss seeing someone at the reception desk though. This is my preferred hotel for going up and down the island on bike, regardless of season.

The motel is clean and comfortable and beach front. Check in was simple. There's not a lot of amenities in walking distance, but close enogh to Parksville. No air conditioning, sonit was a little warm for us.

Beautiful property on the ocean. You would think the rooms would be more modernized. However, not a lot of suites to drive sales and make a profit to spend on upgrades it seems. Beautiful location, outdated rooms with a portable fan and no air conditioning. Please install air conditioning!

The motel is small (only 6 units) and we had the place to ourselves - probably due to Covid. Our unit had a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living area with incredible views. The kitchen had a full size stove and refrigerator. The Tv was an older model and we didn’t have too many channels - but hey we weren’t there to watch TV. Everything was spotless. The garden is cute and pretty. The on site mangers were excellent and friendly, making sure we had enough firewood for our nightly fires. The most stunning was the their sea wall and the comfortable chairs and tables to enjoy the surroundings. We were lucky and had great weather and sat outside a lot and were entertained by a large herd of sea lions. A good central place to enjoy the surrounding areas of Parksville, Campbell River, Coombes etc.,

It was great to check in without any physical presence. Great during covid. The motel has the most beautiful view, I would book again just for that. It was quiet and clean and we had no issues at all. Recommend it fully.
