"Breakfast was not included with the room. Although the room was surprisingly large and clean, it showed its age.
In addition:
• The A/C was loud and not powerful enough to cool the size of room. The staff assured me that they were in the process of updating the equipment
• The towels were worn almost to transparency
• There were no safety bars in the tub
• The bedside lamp was unplugged, and to plug it in, the headboard would have to be removed
• The kitchen should have had four of everything, but bowls, cups, glasses and utensils were missing
• The refrigerator had not been defrosted, so I couldn’t use the freezer
I left my pink Yeti water bottle with my name engraved on it at the reception desk when I checked in. When I went to claim it, I was told the staff thought it was being claimed by its owner. I have an unusual name, and had the staff requested ID, they would have realized it did not belong to the person who claimed it. This was disappointing.
However, the staff was respectful, willing to admit an error, and helpful in lugging my heavy luggage up the stairs when the elevator was out of service for a few hours."
