"The house is very peaceful and quiet. I wanted to stay longer. Check in and communication with the host was easy. There are general stores close by and a nice organic grocery store in Hardwick about 18 minutes away. It was very fun to drive around through different small towns and visit all the local shops, breweries, cafes etc. The cookware has teflon so if you don't like that I would recommend bringing your own pans."

"Gerard was very responsive when we had trouble with the Wii, though the problem was in reading the password. What looked like a lower case l, was actually the number 1. The cabin was very clean and kept us warm with the gas heater. The hot water was VERY HOT and should probably be turned down. My husband almost got scalded in the shower. One of the beds was not comfortable. The driveway/parking situation is very tight and you had to be cautious of other cars coming down the road because it was hard to see what was coming.2 of the burners on the stove stopped working, though they worked on the first night.Pilot light? It could be helpful to leave some sort of directions for fixing this problem. We looked but we couldn't find anything. We were fine without it.It may sound like we had lots of problems, but all in all we had a good vacation."

"The property was perfect for us. It was secluded with a great view of the lake. Peaceful mornings watching the fog burn off. Watched eagles flying around and one landed right on the property, later learned there is an eagle sanctuary across the lake. Had turkeys walk through the yard and listened to the loons on the lake. We were looking for rest and relaxation and that’s what we got. The host was very responsive though we didn’t run into any issues. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment we needed and then some. Honestly, didn’t want to leave."

"This was a perfect place to catch our breath on a busy wedding weekend. Very serene and peaceful. Hosts were extremely responsive to any questions or inquiries about the area. Great stay in the small house!"
