The property was quite private which was nice, and most of the amenities were decent. It was nice to have a kitchen and equipment like a coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and blender. However, the hot water was often not working or very in and out, which was unpleasant. The hot tub was not usable as it had become a frog breeding pond. The filter looked nasty anyways, so we weren’t planning on using it even if it wasn’t full of tadpoles. Brian was not very communicative and did not respond to some of the questions we would ask over WhatsApp. We wanted to take out the trash and had asked where we could do so, and he did not reply. In addition, when we got there the air conditioners both had red lights which meant they needed maintenance, probably since they are on 24/7. One was dripping water all over the floor, and we asked him to have it fixed. He said he’d do it the following day, and then we didn’t hear from him until a maintenance man was waiting outside the house while we were gone, two days later. He also showed up and had not given us any heads up. The house itself is pretty far down an unpaved road which was a little inconvenient when we wanted to go anywhere, as it added an extra 15 minutes of driving, but that wasn’t a big deal to us. Another minor thing is that there is no recycling or compost available, which was a little disappointing as the last place we stayed had them and seemed more eco-conscious than this place.
