Everything was amazing. The room was wonderful. What a view to wake up to. Miles of private beach very private location away from the craziness of Jaco and Quepos and Parrita. The staff especially Jose and Jason bent over backwards to help us with: tours, day to day issues and just made our stay perfect.

We were at the beachfront suite. It was very spacious - it included a full-size kitchen, a living area, a separate dining area, and two jumbo patios. Totally king-sized. These are the plus points. My bathroom (#7) had an issue. The toilet bowl was not filling up .. was leaking. Every time I had to lift the lid, apply my DIY techniques, and fill up the water. The restaurant closes at 9:30 PM - that's not the best. Bar closes at 10 PM, again, not the best. The pool was open till midnight - great. We stayed there for just one night. We felt bad because we had very little time to enjoy the property. However, we realized later that the place had very little to offer. The property was in a very secluded place, with a pathetic approach road (dirt road). The beach was also not suitable for swimming -we were warned. As long as you want to stay in the property and enjoy the property, this gets a thumbs up from me. If you are like me, who wants to stay put in a happening place, it's not optimal.

if you can afford to stay somewhere else, stay somewhere else - i considered staying in my car over this place. this hotel is well below average and absolutely does not deserve anything above a 2 star rating. * off the beaten path: far from everything, renting a car is a must, the driver charges a lot of money and only accepts cash, taxis and ubers don’t come here * disconnect from reality: has wifi, but we lost power overnight which meant no wifi, no ac, no ability to contact anyone including people who work here * staff is friendly: probably the only positive i have regarding this hotel, but it appears no one is here overnight, they have a very young front of the house staff, and learn some spanish because they know little english * rooms are meh: big, has a fine bed, water is freezing to shower in, found a roach crawling around, will get cleaned upon request and when requested, there’s a 50/50 chance they’ll clean it * beach is beautiful: black sand beach which is cool, public and across the street, few plastic beach chairs that feel like they might break underneath you, not good for swimming * dog friendly: including strays which may sit right outside your door and bark all night long costa rica is beautiful and if you’re staying at this hotel, you’ll see a lot of it because you will want to be here as little as possible.

The property is very secluded on a dirt road and you have basically your own beach! The included breakfast as well as the other food we ate was fantastic! The staff was very nice and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy! Great resort and we will definitely come back!

We did not have long to enjoy this property due to our plans. Check in was easy. We were offered a tour of the property but we only needed our room and the restaurant so it was not needed. The property has on-site security, the restaurant was good for both dinner and breakfast, and the pool looked nice but we didn't use.

Intermittent water supply and almost no hot water. Absurdly high restaurant and bar prices. Go to the Mar y Sol down the street (which is excellent!). We won't be back.

Close to beach is about all the good things to say. Large waves not for weak swimmers so my wife would not go in. Toilets backed up repeatedly, reported it before we went out for the day, was told it was fixed and if it continued to happen they would move us to another room but by time we got back after 5pm there was no one at the office to talk too.Room also had mold on the walls in the bathroom and one morning we had no water at all for a while. We ended up leaving two days early and went elsewhere. Went to the restaurant to eat a little after 5 pm and it was closed so decided to go down the street to eat, went got ready to go out after hiking all day and as we were leaving the two workers were opening it up. We said gee we thought you were closed. They told us they were on a break which lasted for a good 1/2 hr or so. All this and you had to drive a couple miles on a dirt road to get there...never again!

I cannot say enough about this gem ! I mean everything about it is a 10/10.. the cleanliness of the place and the spacious suite are impressive and the views of the beach from the balcony is phenomenal! The restaurant in the hotel is also really good and serves up some really amazing drinks and enough cannot be said about the manager José ! He is really fit for the job - friendly and responsive and always willing to help! The location is really good and we had the beach to ourselves ! I mean literally nobody is law during the day! Oh the evenings maybe a handful of people but it’s so big you can hardly notice ! A must stay if you want to be far from the MA crowds but still maybe do a day trip there!
