「Location amazing. had a lovely room overlooking the square」

「Great location, very helpful staff. Nice spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was very good. It can be a bit noisy at night due to the location in the city centre but I would stay there again when in Quito.」

「Breakfast was amazing, the staff, especially Yale, were so helpful finding places to go on tours, out for dinner and just about everywhere. Location was very close to two restaurants one block down the street. We were there Oct 8th to Oct 14th and we highly recommend going to stay there.」

「The room was clean, so I had no issues there. However, it was disappointing that the breakfast was of a lower standard compared to other hotels I have stayed at.」

「WiFi was decent but did break up sometimes. Friendly staff but often didn’t have information such as once I asked about laundry and the staff wasn’t sure and didn’t try to help and find out. It’s a budget hostel, good value for the money in the city historic center. You can walk alone at night u til about 830-9pm. Uber is plentiful. Decent traditional restaurants around within walking distance. Hostel is quiet except for the construction - so be mindful if you take naps or sleep in behind 8am....

「The location was good if you don’t mind legal sex workers outside your door. We booked because they had an elevator. It turns out there are about 30 stairs to get to the elevator. The room, the bedding and bathroom are very old. The staff were very nice and attentive. They get 5 stars!」

「Ein sehr geschmackvoll hergerichtetes Boutique Hotel, leider an einer sehr lauten Hauptstraße. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen ein Zimmer mit Fenster, was nicht alle Zimmer haben. Unglücklicherweise spricht niemand Englisch, was eine Verständigung erschwert.」

「We are so pleased and happy with our time in Hotel Sucre. The staff is top of the line, everyone was very happy to help out and make us comfortable was their main goal. Location is supreme, restaurant food was amazing, rooms were very clean and comfortable, the balcony looking out to the main Plaza is amazing. Gabriel and his staff are amazing. Definitely this is the best option in the historical center. DO NOT SPEND DOUBLE THE MONEY IN HOTEL GARGOTENAS, IS NOT WORTH IT.」

「Hotel was like a jig saw puzzle with lots of stairways and areas. Still had construction going on. Rooms were very nice but no privacy unless you close your curtains. Room safes did not work in either of our rooms. You cannot flush toilet paper due to old pipes. Area did not feel very safe but we did not need to leave the hotel without a guide since the dining in the hotel was great. Overall I would recommend this hotel. 」
