I'd pick a different option

The good: The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower pressure was solid. The not-so-good: This hotel is falling apart. Water damage on the ceiling. Torn up furniture. The main elevator was broken when I arrived, and on the second day of my trip, the back-up elevator was out too. So stairs only. And the stairs smelled strongly of cigarettes and urine.

The staff is kind and helpful, but the facility is a reck. 1 “working” elevator, filthy rooms, cloudy water in the pool, and AC that doesn’t keep up with the outside temperature.

Great staff, poor room condition.

Staff super nice and helpful, room very clean but shabby. Ceiling peeling, some outlets not working, some the plug just fell out. The room (1st floor) just felt damp, both beds very damp but the sweet housekeeper brought dry bedding, which helped. Realized in the morning that the a/c is actually putting out damp air, the shirt I hung near it was very damp. My door lock would not work, Joyce was relentless and finally managed to make it let me back in.

The room was clean, breakfast decent, but the first night the people next door had a party going on, I guess lots of alcohol, people super loud, then after midnight they started fighting and yelling to each other (of course!). We were in room 128, the party was on room 129. Those rooms are on the main level. Management did nothing about it. So that night we had few hours of good sleeping. Next day those people were gone and the rest of our stay was pleasant.

The best thing I can say about our stay was the staff. We were able to switch rooms easily. The elevator doesn’t work so you have to take the stairs. One night we got in a little late and there were guests in their room with the door wide open. The hallways and rooms smell like old cigarettes and dogs. I just expected with the hotel being in a decent area the conditions of the hotel would’ve been better.

The propery is in a convenient location and offers continental breakfast until 9am, even til.9 on weekends. The room was pretty good except for the lighting. All yellow and very dim. Property had poor technology, which affected front desk service and wifi in room, where i had plannrd to work. I couldnt check in because all systems were down so had to cancel and rebook so i could make payment via my phone. Whole property outside of my room smelled of marijuana, especially the hallways. Elevators are broken, but has 5 floors! I was on 4th, had to ride to 5 then walk down to 4. The place is a mess! Will not go back!

The property overall looks great, lobby very welcoming, staff curtious, room was very nice and clean and house keeping friendly. *** Rear entrance near pool and parking parking lot needs serious attention. *** It is a gathering point for patrons to hang out, eat, smoke and lounge about. 1. Trash recepticle always full and over flowing. 2. Numerous cigarette butts thrown about. 3. Concrete slab at rear door entrance filthy. It should be pressure washed occasionally. It looks terrible. 4. Trash lying about due to recepticle issue.

There were roaches in my room and it had a very bad stench. The staff was very friendly though. Also there was only one elevator working when I got there and the button on my floor stopped working so I had to carry all my bags down the stairs on my last day.

Staff was friendly and nice but the hotel is one the of worst I’ve stayed in for that price. Carpet was sticky, shower clogged, tv broken, toiletries were not present, smell in the rooms was musty.

Stayed here in years past. Surprised at how it has gone down. The whole floor we were on smelled like weed. It needed fixing up. Light fixtures, hallway, ceiling, general clean up. The bed was very comfortable though.

Walking in your are greeted with a strong smell of the Devil's Lettuce. It's older, a bit dirty, possible sex workers walking around the property (I didn't ask) at night. However, I didn't feel unsafe. My room was decent and the bed soft and comfortable. I slept well. I'd stay again for a single night. I suppose worth it for the price if you are not hanging around or trying to work from the hotel.

Staff were very kind and helpful and things were very quiet. But, the Hotel smelled really bad inside (a very musty odd smell throughout), and there were numerous stains on the carpet in the hallways, our room was no exception. From a safety standpoint, the outside entryway door closest to our room wouldn’t lock, even though it should have been a keycard entry only entrance, so anyone could have entered the hotel through that door at any time.

At check-in, 1 of 2 elevators was not working. After returning from dinner, no elevators were working. Front desk clerk stated this was due to heat and that it was too hot in the mechanical room for her to go into the mechanical room to reset the elevators. (We were on the 4th floor and we are both over 70.) When this was reported to the front desk the following morning, the lady on the front desk reset the elevators so that they would work. Overall, hotel was shabby with carpet and wall coverings in need of replacement. Landscaping and flower beds need to be weeded and cleaned up. Towels were ok, wash cloth had a hole and bed poorly made. Only one chair in a large room. In room coffee not good and coffee maker missing proper basket.

The problem I have is with the first room. The A/C was not working and the tv stopped working as well. But, the wonderful staff was so helpful. They switched our room and it was so better. Newer room with new paint and cleaner. The was wonderful. My problem is with the old building.

It’s just old and dirty and absolutely nothing has been done to make an effort here. The staff was kind and friendly, but it’s obvious that whoever owns this property just does not care.

The people I interacted with were very nice. As far as the property: * the heating/cooling unit didn’t appear to work. In early March. * the microwave in the room didn’t work. I found that out after putting water in my oatmeal which I then couldn’t make. * There were no charging outlets by the bed that didn’t involve reaching under furnishings/fixtures. * the TV mounted to the wall was flush and non adjustable, limiting the viewing angle * the elevator did not work On the plus side, the property was very well lighted outside and did feel safe to me. I’m not sure I’d have wanted my wife there by herself.

Very convenient location but very pooly maintained. Bright lights shone in the 2nd floor room but no blackout shades to pull. The hotel smelled horrible. The one elevator was very slow and had significant damage. The staff was good and the room in need of repair but was clean. The police were called to break up a "disturbance" in the lobby. Booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. Will never stay at that location again and am questioning whether I will trust LaQuinta in the future. Very disappointed.
