"Wow, this is a truly unique place to stay. Immaculately kept. Beautifully-designed rooms. Feels like staying in nature without roughing it. Staff is friendly and helpful too. The hot tub and access to the gardens were added bonuses. We stayed with our two kids (8 & 6) in a family room and we all enjoyed it. Highly recommend."

Liz is an absolute gem! She explained everything and gave so many suggestions as to where to go in the area. Very low key way to relax. "

"The grounds and the house itself are spectacular. Large kitchen and lounge, several comfy bedrooms. The house was very well stocked with anything you might need, from firewood to laundry detergent. There was bonus apple trees with delicious apples and 2 dogs that the kids adored. Some downsides - check in was a bit of a hassle. I was sent an email that implied the host would be at the property but when we arrived no one was there and had to message to get instructions for key. Spiders -...

"Magnificent views right out the window. Had logs on the fire ready to light. Ample space. Just remember you pay extra for oil and electricity. There's no grocery store currently in the town, but a lovely place to dine called Wild Rose Cafe right around the corner. We did have a few minor issues but Mr. Wallace came right over and took care of them."

"House was fantastic - immaculately clean and well-equipped. They had really thought about our arrival with the heating already on so it was lovely and warm. There was also a number of "welcome" items (box of cereal, milk, coffee teabags, biscuits and a lovely bottle of wine). Plenty of towels, Shower was excellent - easy to use, good pressure and lovely and hot."
