Rangeley Vacation with M&F
We love our stays in Rangeley and M&F does a really great job managing the rental cabin and process -- as they have for us for almost 20 years now.

5 Stars
The house was perfect for my wife, daughter and myself. It was clean, attractive and right on the water. The swimming was great and we enjoyed the use of the kayak and paddle-boards.
We (2 grandparents, 2 parents, one 8yo) came up for the eclipse. We were so focused on being in the right location for that event that we sort of missed what an absolutely gorgeous place we were headed for.
Wow, is it beautiful there!
The house has everything you need, a very nice kitchen, and stunning views. Absolutely would return.
Everything about this place was great. We’re frequent renters across the state of Maine and this place gave us everything we wanted. The property manager was A+. Communication was easy and left no question unanswered. The property was spotless when we arrived and exactly as described. We had ample room for indoor and outdoor activities. We would have loved a larger outdoor dining set but this didn’t slow us down. Swimming and boating were great. Not sure what else we could ask for! 5 star property.

Relaxing and peaceful stay
My husband and I wanted a peaceful place for a few nights to relax and unwind. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the firepit down by the lake in the evenings, and our 2 German Shorthair pointer dogs loved playing in the yard and being on the dock. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay, home was cozy and comfortable and plenty of room. Very nice property. Though we visited in the winter when the lake was frozen, it looks like a ton of fun during the warmer months. Owners were very communicative and responsive. Would stay again!

Hunter Cove Lodge -- 7/4 to 7/18 2020
Excellent vacation -- very restful!
The FLAGS flying in Rangeley were terrific, as was the spirit of the people in town.
We had to call the Emergency # at 12:20 in AM, but the maintenance man came out promptly -- later in the morning -- and took care of the smoke detector & carbon monoxide batteries which were low and started to alarm when they failed.
Support from the office team was terrific -- as always.
Had to call maintenance & office a 2nd time due to venting of the propane heater, but it turns out the sign in the cabin is wrong; it says "snow needs to be cleared" from the sheet metal box that covers the vent -- but the cover itself needs to be REMOVED to get the unit to vent properly and stay running (yes, one day we needed heat...).
That's the first time, we think, in 20+ years of M&F rentals in Rangeley that we ever needed maintenance support -- but the office staff and maintenance guy (Mike) took care of us.
THANKS FOR ALL!

For 25 years I've been visiting various camps and Inns around the Rangeley area. For the last several years my preference has been Hunter Cove Lodge. Hunter is well equipped, quiet and has excellent access to the lake. Hunter Cove itself is naturally protected from the prevailing winds, so generally calm and perfect for your boat. Morton Furbish has very friendly and helpful people, which makes the rental process seamless.

Hunter Cove Lodge
Great location in Hunter Cove, with a very nice and comfortable 3-bedroom camp. The outdoor seating area, propane grill and the Cowboy Cauldron are great. The dock area and mooring (for when the south winds kick up) are nice for the boat, although we do wish there was an easy walk-in at the water's edge for launching kayaks or to wade in with the granddaughter. Coyote or owl decoys to keep the goose poop off the dock or lawn would be a definite plus too.

We all loved the cabin. Hummingbirds visited us daily. There were moose sightings and we rented a canoe to fish. Thank you for putting the dock in and suppling a full tank of gas for the grill. The beds were wicked comfy and the shower hot! 4 adults managed just fine with the 1 bathroom.
We enjoyed the patio and firepit, clear skies and the musical loons. Our 5 days went by way too fast. This is our 3rd year at Rangeley and we will be back.

Have been a guest at
Have been a guest at Hunter Cove Lodge for years and so now feels like home. The camp and docks are so “user friendly” that I intend to rent Hunter for many more visits. Melinda at Morton Furbish was excellent..making my rentals stressless. The owner of Hunter has recently added a very nice and useful patio and keeps the camp adequately equipped. Kind of expensive for two, but worth it and a great bargain for bigger parties.

Hunter Cove Lodge
Over the years we have enjoyed coming to this sweet little lodge on the northern shore. It has everything you could want while visiting the Rangeley Lakes area. The water is a little calmer and a little warmer, and the cove is always a treat to explore. The house has some new and welcomed improvements. However, it would be nice if paddles for the canoe were provided. Our one and only criticism would be to put the master bed back on the outside wall, so you can gaze at the mountains!! We had a great time, as always!!

Property was beautiful
Property was beautiful right on the lake. Very well maintained and roomy. We lacked for nothing our whole stay. We would recommend this property and will certainly return there
