Loved my stay here!! It was so tranquil and cool to have The Rarotongan next door for games and a busier atmosphere. Loved the amenities being right outside the rooms to take straight into the beach. This resort is in desperate need of a renovation, the staff seem to be lost, and there is not much else nearby. First of all, they took a very long time to process my initial payment although it was shown as “paid”. Then, I had exchanged numerous e-mails explaining to them that we needed a downstairs beachfront suite due to my partner’s mobility issue. They had assured me that we would be given a downstairs beachfront suite. Upon arrival late at night we were given an upstairs suite and when I protested they eventually gave us a beachfront suite but on the far side of the resort away from the beach, while they kept handing the best downstairs beachfront suites to other couples that were arriving as we waited. The pool of the Sanctuary was not worth visiting and we did not use it during our stay. The food was basic and the general state of the resort was run down. Stay somewhere else like in the Muri Bay Area which has better accommodation and more things to do nearby.

Great location, right on the beach with excellent snorkelling with tons of fish. Really comfy sun loungers. Can help yourself to kayaks right on the beach. Snorkels and flippers are provided in your room. You need to walk thru reception to get to the Rarotongan now, but that gives you great sunset views from the bar/restaurant there. Food options are same at both sites.

I liked that the bes was comfy, large and a range of pillows to suit. The shower was excellent with good pressure. Loved the air con and then heat pump when needed. I didnt like that it was cashless as we brought quite a bit of cash but not a big deal. Some rubbish was accidenly left in our room on check in ~ also not big deal. The biggest let down was the wifi. We needed this to find things to do on the island and for map location. It would constantly drop off. This really does need to be sorted. We would come back as staff were awesome but wifi seriously needs looking at.

The room was spacious and beautiful leading out to a semi private courtyard and out onto a gorgeous lagoon. The snorkelling was amazing - like bring in an aquarium! Super friendly staff too.

Really liked the beach access / location. The water was crystal clear with plenty of coral fish about. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The dinner menu was average, a daily special would have been appreciated. Overall we had a fantastic time, very relaxing and well looked after.

What an amazing view we had from our lovely room. We loved our 2 days. Wished it could have been longer. The restaurant has an awesome selection of gf food available. I was spoilt for choice and its celiac friendly.
