Located above a quiet restaurant in a very quiet area just outside Hikkaduwa, right on the beach so the waves and the beach are your table neighbors at breakfast. "Claimed they don't deal with H.Com said they were full then 20min later found 2 empty rooms. Both very dirty but we needed somewhere to sleep. Didn't try the food. No hot water to shower. "

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again."
