The standout attraction of this resort is the stunning beach where it is located. Quieter and more exclusive feeling than neighbouring beaches, this one is a real gem. Just three resorts, with Tubtim at the far end. I was in a balcony garden view room which was spacious and really comfortable. Nice and light and bright. As others have said, it is up a lot of steps, and the path up there is not lit, take a torch! The shower pressure is non-existent, so don’t expect much. The customer service is very patchy, from the downright rude and unhelpful, to the lovely and can’t do enough to assist. There is a rather odd system where you have to drop your key at reception if you want your room serviced. And then all keys are left out once cleaning has been done, so there is no key security. They don’t overcrowd the beach with loungers, but as a result there aren’t enough. Unless you get down there at 7 am to stake your claim with a towel, you risk not being able to get one. I wasn’t given a coherent reason why they don’t have more loungers. Getting deck chairs is easier, just ask at the bar and they will set you up a couple with an umbrella. Grab a small seat cushion from the barbecue area. The loungers are hard as stone, and for some inexplicable reason don’t have full length cushions, so you could have a very uncomfortable day on one. I favoured the deck chairs. The breakfast is distinctly average. All in all I would definitely stay here again largely because of the location.

We loved our stay at Tubtim, so much that we stayed an extra 2 nights. We had previously stayed at Wong Duen beach and also explored other bays on the island by scooter/walking, but this was by far our favourite. We had a garden view fan room, which was lovely and suited our needs. We saw amazing birds around the grounds including hornbills and drongos. The prices for food and drink, including in the shop, were a bit higher than other areas, but when you factor in that everything has to be brought by boat the additional cost is to be expected. The included breakfast was delicious and well above what we expected, with lots of choice and great quality. The onsite bar and restaurant were also lovely. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This place is amazing! When it comes to Koh Samed, the location of your accommodations can make or break your visit... Tubtim has by far the best proximity to the beautiful beach as any resort on the island! The cabins feel bigger than the photos portray.. The breakfast spread is great... The staff is kind and attentive... For the price, this is THE value steal of the island. Ill be back!!!!
