Clean and peaceful
For traveling to KC, This place was farther out than I originally wanted, but it was WELL worth the drive! It was clean, cute, comfy, well stocked with kitchen supplies, and PEACEFUL! If you prepare for the drive to a store or where you want to eat, you can enjoy truly relaxing.

Very pleased!
We stayed in the cottage over the New Year to celebrate the holidays with family. It was very warm, clean, and cozy. It had all the things needed to hang out and cook and play games with family. She shower was amazing!....and the Christmas decorations and overall decor was so cozy and cheerful. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity.

Idyllic Rural Setting
Our family enjoyed a quiet, relaxing and very comfortable vacation at Swafford Valley Creekside Cottage, located less than an hour from the Kansas City Airport and 30-45 minutes from the communities of Richmond, Lexington, Higginsville and Liberty. The home was impeccably clean and the yard was beautifully landscaped and mowed, perfect for exploring, playing corn hole, and watching sunrises and sunsets. We saw a deer, a racoon, a groundhog, a turkey, lightening bugs and snails, all of which fascinated the little boys. We highly recommend this comfortable home in its idyllic rural setting.

The cottage is beautiful. This house is very clean and updated. My family live in busy Texas (city life) they really enjoyed the peace and quiet farm life has to offer. I highly recommend this place. My family of 8 fit very comfortably.

A Great Little Place Out in the Country
We had a lovely time. The location was perfect for us. The owner and property manager are very responsive. The house just needed a few little repairs to earn an overall 5 star rating. Hopefully, they will be repaired by next time.

We can’t say enough about our stay at this home. Communication was great. House was clean and decorated for Christmas. Very inviting and comfy. The land around the house is beautiful. We were their for our daughter’s wedding and was allowed to take some amazing pictures outside. Highly recommend home if you are wanting to stay on the Kansas City area. Thank you!

Everything about our weekend was perfect! Beautiful location and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, plenty of blankets, pillows etc. Kitchen is fantastic if you like to cook. We would love to come back and stay longer! ( Had a small Wi-Fi issue which was very quickly resolved.). This is a real GEM! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Can’t forget to say we throughly enjoyed waking up to the cows in the pasture! A+++

Really awesome place!
Our 4 nights stay was fantastic! The house is spotless and super comfortable. We had a small family reunion to celebrate our grandson's 4th birthday. He had so much fun that he asked if we all can "move to the house and live here together". Perfect home away from home!

Our family gathered here for a weekend Independence Day celebration. Neighboring family members joined us and we enjoyed the spacious outdoor grassy areas for yard games. Loved the outdoor deck and fire pit areas. The creek going through the property with the walk across bridge and old timely tractor really added to the ambiance of the country property. Comfy beds and clean. Great communication with property owner and caretaker. We will definitely stay here again!
