Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge. It is so easy to get out & about, the staff will order Tuk Tuks or Taxis for you or if you feel……

“Very nice and very quiet chalet on a deserted beach. The location is literally on the beach. Ideal if you want tranquility. Just the sound of the waves! Our host was excellent and helped us with information we needed. There is a good restaurant next door and the Waves will provide good dinners at reasonable cost if you give them warning (as everything is freshly cooked). ”

“This resort is situated off the beaten track. It was just what we were looking for. The manager was friendly and did every to make our stay there enjoyable. Like any guest house or resort if you go when there are fewer guests please remember to order your food for the evening at breakfast before the chef goes to market. ”

“Die Unterkunft besteht aus 2 Cabanas und einer Restaurantterasse, welche den Gästen vorbehalten ist. Die Cabanas befinden sich in einem großen Garten und so hat man viel Privatspähre. Wer es ruhig haben möchte, ist hier richtig. Wir hatten mit 3 Personen die beiden Cabanas gebucht und waren für uns alleine. Meine Begleiter feierten Geburtstag und Hochzeitstag. Dafür wurde geschmückt und eine Torte besorgt. Zum Strand sind es 5 Minuten Fußweg. Hier findet man weitere Restaurants.”

“Serendivi Resort Villa was amazing! Right on the beach, Tropical Modernist architecture and an incredible view. We were looked after very well by Farees, Chefs Sanath and Vinodh and the Manager Prabath. Really delicious food. I wish we had stayed longer! ”

“The hotel was substantially abandoned: the beach bar and restaurant featured in the Expedia listing had been demolished, and I saw only one staff member during my stay, a lady with slight English. When I left at 10.30 on Tuesday morning no-one was around. The rooms were satisfactory - electrics and plumbing were working, bed linen was clean, and a large balcony with loungers was shared with the other two rooms on the floor. WiFi was available at times but rarely reached the 2nd……
