Reloncaví Estuary

The Carretera Austral start at Puerto Montt, where you have to take a ferry to Caleta Puelche. An interesting alternative is to surround the Estero Reloncavi where you can find this incredible landscape.

One of the best places in Chile to visit. Many people told me it's like Yosemite like 20 years ago, before it became so touristic. If you come to Chile I recommend it 100%. Although I must say every year more people come here, so make reservations in camping La Junta before you come. It's the biggest one in Cochamó and it has a limit of people so you have your space. To get here you have to take a bus from Puerto Varas to the town of Cochamó, then another one that will take you 8 km inside and then you have to walk for about 4 hours to get to the camping, trust me, it's worth it. Most people stay for 4 days or so, I stayed for 10 and it's perfect, you get to do all the trekkings and have some days to rest (you'll need them). If you climb this is your paradise and you'll stay for 3 whole months.
