Exceptional hotel for families with young children

We were delighted with the thoughtful provision and excellent facilities for children at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and goid with youngsters and this made our stay (as parents) flow smoothly. I would recommend this hotel for families in the highest possible terms.

Staff lovely,room nice Lovely restaurant great quality food. The breakfast was sadly limited with not enough hot food, egg had run out and had to keep asking for things that had run out. Not enough food put out for guests. Hotel grounds are not that nice around the pool, could do with improvement. Not very nice to see the illegal camping outside the grounds

La única opción para comer es un centro comercial con comida rápida . Las camas individuales son ridículamente angostas con miedo a caer durante la noche. El personal de la recepción solo se dedica a estar en su computadora y parece que uno molesta si pregunta algo.

This hotel was perfect for my partner and I because it has a large carpark and is near the ring road. We were driving through France so it was an ideal base to stop in Rennes. We had to get a taxi into the city to explore it, but that was fine for us. It is a clean, well equipped and comfortable hotel and it's great value. The massive shopping centre nearby is a plus, but I would not visit this area of the city if you want to experience the culture and nightlife of Rennes.

Nous avons dû attendre un bon quart d'heure à la réception à notre arrivée en plein après midi car il n'y avait personne. Des poils et cheveux été laissés dans la douche, un comprimé laissé parterre (dangereux dans une chambre familiale en plus du reste), un restant de sachet de sucre également. Propreté très médiocre pour un hôtel étoilé... Nous sommes déçus de la qualité de service

Différence de facturation

Si le séjour était bien c’est la différence de facturation en ma défaveur de 47,73 € que je trouve anormal et malgré mes appels. Je n’ai pas eu une explication satisfaisante.

At check in I spoke in French to the receptionist but she insisted in responding in English - I wasnt struggling to understand or make myself understood - thankfully no other staff members we encountered did this - it's rude. Booking through Expedia the room was described as having 1 double bed and 2 singles but the room we were given had a double bed and a sofa bed. Luckily the sofa bed was comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant wasn't great and the vegetarian option was especially poor. The double bed and pillows weren't comfortable. The bathroom was spotless ... there was no mould around the shower base or the shower heads ... this is quite rare even in 4 and 5 star hotels. The bathroom sink wasn't great ... it was very low and the tap was too low also. Breakfast was good ... plenty of choice. The female staff member at breakfast was rude and dismissive. Overall we enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't stay again as the bed wasn't comfortable ... this is kind of essential!

Nuit agréable dans l'ensemble. Cependant, j'ai alerté la réception sur le fait que le nettoyage des toilettes n'a pas été fait. En effet, on ne devrait pas se concentrer que sur la cuvette et ce qui va avec, mais il est important de vérifier les murs et la facade de la porte à l'intérieur des toilettes, il y avait des projections "colorées" de partout... C'est pour ma part déjà inacceptable mais encore plus pour un Novotel...
