We loved our stay in Iceland at the Reykjavík Marina - Berjaya Iceland Hotel! It had tons of places to sit and meet with friends, great food, and very nice rooms. It was within walking distance of a lot of things and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property staff were very welcoming and helpful. My flybus pick up was at a bus stop by the hotel but the street was closed for construction. They called the company arranged for a different pick up. The hotel itself had wonderful amenities and is all newly renovated. Lots of great spaces. The location is by all of the tour operators for excursions by boat and lots of restaurants and cafes. It’s pretty much in the heart of things but not in a noisy area.

The staff was extremely accommodating letting us into a room early to allow us to get to our excursions that day. They were very helpful providing how to get around with various transportation types. I very much enjoyed my stay and would return in a heartbeat. The check-in staff were kind and helpful, the lounge areas and my room were clean, aesthetically appealing, comfortable, functional and quiet (in the best way). After a cramped flight, the waterfall shower and l'occitane products brought me back to life. The view of the marina was great to wake up to the next morning, and the location was perfect for walking around Reykjavik but also being just a little removed from the main thoroughfare. I would absolutely return and wish I could have stayed longer (as I was only there for one night)!

Staff is pretty rude and unhelpful. Highlight of my stay was staff entering my room without permission or warning. If you value privacy this is not your place. It’s by no means a 4 star hotel…you’d be better of staying at a generic chain than this place. Saving grace is location.

The hotel was charming. From the outside it does not look like much. But inside there is clever and eclectic decor. Others have noted the rooms are small. For us they were fine, but we understand for the $$ something bigger might reasonably be expected. We figured that we were paying more for the location (which was great). The restaurant was excellent.

A neat location right on the harbor with big boats being repaired nearby. Nice views of the water and distant mountains. The decor in the lobby was charming and whimsical with lots of spaces to socialize and relax. The room was very simple and small (my partner compared it to a dorm room designed by IKEA) but the bed and linens were very comfortable and we slept well. The curtains were good and the room was quiet. I wish there had been a real chair in the room or on the balcony instead of just a stool. A highlight of the hotel was the good breakfast buffet- delicious and full of variety. Very pleasant staff. Our fellow guests were a pleasant mix of families, retired folks and couples. We could easily walk to restaurants and sights and it felt very safe. The parking situation was a bit sketchy but it was really fine. Limited parking in the alley between the hotel and the harbor but there's a huge gravel parking lot right nearby which although it seemed a bit dodgy (some cars looked like they hadn't been driven in years), was perfectly fine and there was always a spot available.
