Amazing vacation home

We stayed at this lovely home and it was perfect for our family. Plenty of room and excellent location with beautiful views. We would definitely be happy to come stay at this home for another vacation.

Views, Views, Views!!!

I really loved everything about this property! Great cabin feel inside. Secluded yet incredibly convenient to town and highway to Telluride. I was alone so I didn't use the downstairs, which adds 2 bedrooms and kitchenette/tv lounge with outside access. The property had everything I needed and much more! I plan to rebook in the summer. Lots of birds and wildlife roaming through the property.

The location and layout of the house was very good.

We loved watching Elk and Mule Deer from the deck of the cabin every evening. The Cabin was about 20 minutes from where we rented ATV’s and rode the Alpine Loop and Imogene/Yankeeboy Basin trails.

The place was clean and had everything we needed to cook and bbq. The management company was really friendly and helpful when I had to contact them prior to our stay. We had 6 adults stay, 2 couples and 2 singles, and the sleeping situation worked great. This was a great home base to explore Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride. Highly recommend to stay here! Oh yea, and the views... wow!

Spacious log home with amazing views

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious with more than enough room for our family of 3 and our small dog. The views are amazing and we found Ridgway to be a good location for exploring the immediate area, Montrose, and Telluride. The property management company was very responsive when I had questions regarding the check in process. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views and house

Great place to stay. Be aware this house does not have A/C. Normally will not be an issue but when we stayed it was abnormally hot. Owner supplies multiple fans but we are used to A/C. House cools off nicely at night but was warm in the afternoons. If you're staying in the summer, look at the forecast and prepare accordingly.

Best view

Never seen an awesome view like this one. This view surprised everyone and this is the eye catch moment. The house is pretty clean and the property manager was interactive. Only thing we didn’t like is the accuracy of the location and the directions mentioned in the listing which was confusing. We had to check each PO Box to arrive at the location. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. I definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful location and home, but not for remote work

The location and views are incredibly beautiful. It was an easy drive to many great day trips. As mentioned in a few other reviews, the internet connection at this home barely exists. It's ok if you only need to send emails or work in Google Docs on a single device, but if you want to stream anything (especially on multiple devices), or participate in Zoom meetings, it will not work. I would 100% come back for an "unplugged" experience.

Beautiful Home, Did not want to leave

Home was very clean inside and looked just like the pictures. Well appointed. The only surprise was pulling into the garage, it was a hot mess, I even got out of the car and double checked I was at the right place as I thought I was pulling into an occupied house! House is also lower altitude than google maps makes you think it is but views are still beautiful and it's very quiet and private. I could do without the pedestal sinks and a mirror that showed below your chin in the bathroom could be helpful :) Kitchen is awesome, nice appliances. DVD player did not work and no directions for operation of tv.

Amazing View

Saw lots of spiders and some really huge ones that were about 5 inches long. Not sure if this is country life or because of garage. Mainly downstairs. We would definitely come back if the could get stronger Wi-Fi because we still have to work when we are on vacation and if they fixed the AC to blow cool air for those heatwave days and nights. Everything else was wonderful! Best part was the VIEW!

The good and the bad

The good: Great setting, fantastic views, private, wonderful house. The bad: No guest info book -- all in an emailed PDF. But if u need to get access to the internet to retrieve the pdf you are lost. Many things not in pdf --e.g., how to use TV, how to work the lights (some lights have master and slave switches and you can go crazy trying to get them on). Asking questions to owner after getting on internet ( had to go to Ouray!!) was ok but took time for exchanges of questions/answers. Owners tried. But there really should be an info book inside the house. And entry codes should be in an email from VRBO. Internet itself was very very very slow. Made it difficult to use. Reservation process didn't tell us that there was essentially no cell phone service.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a wonderful time in the area for the 4th. This rental accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. House does tend to get warm in the afternoon. There are plenty of windows to open and fans to run. Kitchen is quite large and was furnished adequately with all the utensils, pots, pans, griddle, toaster oven and coffee maker. Room are all good size. Lower level bathroom door is tricky. Our favorite part of the house was the deck. We got to watch the elk play in the pasture south of the house(binoculars required) mornings and evenings. We also had and occasional deer wonder though the yard. House is only about ten minutes from downtown town Ridgway. Driveway is kind of tight so if you are traveling with a side by side I wouldn’t recommend anything larger than a big single axel trailer. Your trailer backing skills must be on point. Our overall stay was wonderful and would recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is truly lovely! Spacious, great layout, absolutely incredible view.PROS:- every area is well appointed. Bathrooms included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and lotion, the towels cutely staged, the laundry room and kitchen both had plenty of detergent to get started- kitchen is HUGE with lots of room to move around. Two sinks. Plenty of cooking tools, serving dishes, silverware.- TWO living areas! One in front of the enclosed fireplace and another with TV tucked around the corner. Both spaces have seating for at least 4 people- The TV area is super cozy and has TONS of DVDs available. Streaming services are installed (but DVDs are guaranteed watching!)- The Master with en suite is upstairs and spacious with a door directly to the patio facing the amazing view. The Master bath has two separated sinks, a very well stocked closet with tons of extra blankets and sheets, and an enclosed shower that no less than 5 people can fit in :-))- a second full bath is upstairs with the jetted tub (no shower) as well as the laundry room with sink and great counter space- the downstairs has two additional rooms, both with queen beds, as well as another living room between them. The downstairs living room has a futon and a door leading to the front patio under the balcony. The downstairs bath has a tub with shower. We had three teenagers, one in each area, and it was perfect for them!- Did I mention the view???CONS:- This house is up a small mountain so internet is spotty at best. Do not expect to work remote, and streaming a movie after dinner just couldn't happen. After peak hours, it was better but plan to stick with more basic internet usage.- The enclosed area for pets was unusable in my opinion. I loved that it was off one of the downstairs bedrooms but it is under the balcony so all snowmelt drips into the enclosure. The small grass area is higher than the cement area so it was prett
