Surfaces in the room were covered in sticky marks from drinks glasses & one of the pillow cases had burn marks or stains on it. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste or soap splatters on it too. The bed was comfortable but we booked for twin beds & got a double instead! There was a decent spread for the breakfast, & it was labelled with a description in English as well. But no decaf coffee option was available. A lot of the staff were very helpful & friendly, but the ladies at the check in desk were NOT.

Great hotel and location with fantastic reception staff. The only reason for marking it down a rating is that the wifi was terrible; my partner needed to do business meetings online but it kept cutting out & stuttering. Even simple browsing was very very slow.

Well located, clean, modern, comfortable, fantastic food, first class service. I had one of the best meals in my life for dinner at the restaurant, the seafood pasta. I will return to stay this hotel when I'm in Rio de Janeiro again.

Great location, breakfasts

The location is excellent to visit the tourist sites like Pao de Azucar and Christo Redentor - short rideshare trips. Loved the breakfast at the restaurant on the 1st floor. The room we got was good for 3 of us and had a sofa bed. We stayed in this property two different times. The bathroom in the 2nd visit was not so clean, was out of body soap.

Overall hotel looks nice. Location is excellent if you are not looking to be close to Copacabana. Front Desk staff could improve by at least smiling. They were so serious. Breakfast was excellent.

Strongly recommend good location and great staff

Staff are the gold of the hotel. Very flexible at reception and extremely helpful. Just a broken tap handle but all the rest was perfect. Great options of TV channels and bed and pillows very comfortable.

This hotel is probably a hidden gem. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff as well as cleaning crew were very competent and thorough. The restaurant was pretty good. We ate at the breakfast buffet every day and the food was good. Coming from the states, the buffet allows you to eat without being a glutton. We had dinner there one night and we thought the food was very well prepared and the drinks very good. The hotel is walking distance from a mall - like maybe a block and a half. It is across from a beachfront and you can see Sugarloaf Mountain from the hotel. There were local eateries and it wasn't too far from the metro. I would definitely recommend.
