Große Panoramafenster auf die Schlucht (selbst im Bad), super freundliches & aufmerksames Personal, gutes Essen bei Halbpension. Durch das schwülwarme Klima deutlich mitgenommen und abgewohnt (Wasserflecken an der Decke, Feuchteschäden an den Holzmöbeln, feucht muffiger Geruch im Zimmer. Durch die Lage im Wald, schwer sauber zu halten. Bei der Lage scheiden sich die Geister: 3km An-/Abfahrt über Schlaglochpiste bzw. Zuckerrohrfelder bis zur nächsten asphaltierten Straße erfordern einen Geländewagen und viel Zeit (ca. 10-15min). Super für Naturliebhaber/Entschleunigung/Internetverweigerer. Für Ausflüge oder Aktivitäten außerhalb des Hotels völlig ungeeignet.

Decided to book L'Exil lodge for Valentines day. If your driving very low car, I would strongly recommend leaving the car in the car park, and take the shuttle directly to the hotel, as the road is very bad to get there. The place its absolutely beautiful, the near by waterfall its a must to see, as it only takes 10-15 min walk. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, in the room there is no AC, there is a fan, no amenities like shampoo or shower gel, just make sure you bring your own. From reading previous reviews many complained about mosquitoes. However if you arrive in the lodge prepared and wear your mosquito spray, trust me you will be fine during the day and at night, as yes there is many mosquitos there. We stayed half board, as there is no other restaurants. The dinner was delicious, however the breakfast was ok. In such a beautiful place like this, my suggestion would be to have more fruits, and more options, eggs, bacon etc etc. I would definitely recommend L'Exil Lodges for 1 max 2 nights. Its a must while in Mauritius to experience this.
