Beautiful old house in great neighborhood
The house is incredibly charming and has everything you need! Being a bit of a tree-hugger type, I very much appreciated the ecologically-minded staples throughout the house. The owners went above the typical minimums like many soaps, filtered water pitchers, coffee and snacks, salt/pepper/oil, and samples of some amazing hot sauces! The beds were all comfy with ample pillows and towels.
The house descriptions are accurate though maybe lacks some details... 4 bedrooms all on the 2nd floor (2 bedrooms have a single queen bed and 2 bedrooms have 2 queen beds) and there are 2 full bathrooms upstairs and 2 half bathrooms downstairs. The connecting interior door between the units is on the second floor; otherwise, you have to go outside to get between the units. Not a huge issue, but just a little odd.
The house is both very quiet and loud. You do not hear anything between the 2 sides (both tv's could be on without a problem), but you do hear all traffic through the house, including people renting/living(?) on the 3rd floor. Half our family are sound sleeper, half not... so this was either not a problem or a bit frustrating.
The neighborhood is adorable. There's a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store almost in the back yard. We very much recommend The Green Goat (restaurant) - maybe a 4 min walk.
Overall a really nice stay!
