"The lodge was beautiful and well-equipped for gathering with friends, cooking, playing games, working out, hot tubbing. More paper goods would be helpful in the kitchen(paper towels, napkins). An orientation to the kitchen and common areas would be helpful. Information about where to get food locally can be helpful, especially for people staying for a night or two."

"Mary, the host, was excellent with communicating any requested info about the house and town of Eastport. We were three older couples who needed comfortable bedrooms, and happily all beds were very comfortable with no lumps or sags. The two queen bedrooms on the second floor both had roomy closets and dressers so there was plenty of space to unpack into; the small connecting bathroom had a shower/tub, sink and toilet. Downstairs, the trundle bed/office room had direct access to the bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, That bathroom also opened to the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area a good size for six people. There were condiments in the fridge from previous tenants, spices, herbs and other basics. We appreciated all of the games in the house and also a great selection of books. The laundry room had a sink, a place to hang clothes if needed, and a closet with extra paper towels and toilet paper. We've been renting houses in Maine for about 20 years and this was among the best equipped for daily needs. The view of the beach and water were wonderful, and the road by the house was perfect for a good no traffic half hour walk."

"Beautiful lakeside home! Quite. Sunsets that are wonderful. Great location to explore the western coast of Maine. Campabello, Jasper Beach, several state parks and a lot of hiking opportunities. September visit so the water a bit cool to swim but beautiful to sit and enjoy. Just an awesome stay."

"This place more than met our expectations!Couldn't ask for a more private and quiet spot. We were in the middle of a sanctuary.The home had everything we needed.Comunications with the host was great.Watching the tides come in and out was our favorite pastime.Great walking trails nearby.Would stay here again."

"The 'Penthouse' in Lubec is almost an oxymoron. It's Lubec. But we LOVE Lubec for everything - the people, the food, and of course the environment (we live near Portland and come up every year). Oh, and yes, the Penthouse is spectacular. On the hill right in town. Fantastic view from the comfortable chairs on the deck, in a completely renovated historic building. All the fixtures are top notch and very modern. We'll be back."
