I was late arrival due to a missed connecting flight which shouldn't have been a problem as i had a confirmed reservation. Wrong. I arrived just after midnight only to be told i didn't have a room. I was told that since i booked through a 3rd party vendor, my reservation wasn't confirmed and i would have to work with them to find mydelf a room. I disagreed, as i am a Marriott member AND i had an email directly from their property confirming my reservation. Luckily Chris,the night time mgr, was able to find me a room of someone who had checked out for a wee hour flight out if rochester. He
had the room cleaned as best he could with staff that was on...i was just happy to have a bed and clean sheets. But from there, i had minimal service. I was there 3nights/4days and my bed was not made once,towels were not changed out and the coffee downstairs was barely passable. Some person had cleaned out all the creamers and sugar,the lids did not fit the coffee cups and nothing was replaced for hours. We did use the pool and hottub...the area was nicely maintained, the water warm and fresh towels available. The location of the hotel was very convenient for my purposes...so i would stay here again. I would just be hoping the experience i had this time was a one off..although my concern is that it may not be, as i was far from the only one whose reservation was given up. While the room was serviceable,the bed comfortable and the shower had great pressure..the carpet needed vacuumi
