Great location

Met our needs perfectly. Joanne was great to work with.A dishwasher would have been nice as well as individual thermostat but those are minor and not a big deal. Would stay again with no problem.

Mayo Clinic Visit to Rochester

Relaxed stay for medical visit

Joanne was able to meet us on a slightly later schedule because of the length of time it took us to get to Rochester. It was so much better to stay here than get a motel for my medical visit to Mayo Clinic. It was roomier than the pictures showed, as well. It was very home-y and comfortable. Would definitely come here again.

Nice apartment for Mayo Clinic Visit

This apartment is the top floor of a multi-family home (or similar). You get the whole floor to yourself with a workable kitchen, bathroom, and two reasonably sized bedrooms. A short drive to Mayo Clinic, restaurants, and grocery stores, and there is a walgreens within walking distance. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, no issues there.

Great place to stay again

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The first time was in apartment 2 and this time in apartment 3. We are in Rochester for medical visits and this property is such a great location. Easy to get to Mayo. Close to Walgreens, Hyvee and a gas station. (within walking distance.) The apartment was clean and well-kept. Very appreciative of the owner' s hospitality. The only thing to note which I didn't catch on the reservation is that apartment 3 has a full staircase to walk up.

Home away from homes :)

The host was excellent and answered questions promptly- we needed an extended stay place in between getting into our new house. This was affordable and quaint- felt like a little vacation- we enjoyed the yard, patio table, comfy couches and big TV. Very comfy decor- felt like a vintage cabin! Only slight downside is if you are going to seriously cook-some of the utensils could use an upgrade- but all kitchen appliances worked well. Everything was clean- beds very comfortable. When you thought of something you might need- just look in the closet! Fans, xtra pillows, blankets- all available. Parking was also nice- even for two cars. The laundry equipment was very nice and worked well. The doors locked well and felt safe and secure. It was a great, affordable, comfortable place- exactly what we needed during a stressful time in between homes!

No complaints, just happy

Great location. Very "homey" and warm and like my aunt just stepped out of her house and gave it to me. Not "perfect" (it is a 1940's building) which I like which made me comfortable. I just felt truly at home Small touches of thoughtfulness that I discovered as I stayed there. Good washer and dryer, thank god. Truly no complaints.

A wonderful time.

Excellent time. Only problem was that my sister and I, who are both in our 70's, didn't take into account the stairs. That would be the only reason we would not use this unit again. The manager was there to meet us and there was a designated parking space for us and she showed us around the unit. Very well done. Thank you.

It is close to Mayo Clinic which was very convenient. Clean, nicely kept, great floor plan

We were quickly greeted and welcomed to our home for the week. She didn't miss a beat. I neglected to ask if there were stairs. There is an apartment that doesn't require very many. The kitchen came with everything we needed to cook, each bedroom was nicely decorated and the beds were better than many hotels. My husband spent much time in the living room. He loved the comfort of the furniture and the television. Both bedrooms are set up with them as well. Great place to stay!

Review: Summer Treatment at Mayo

Apt #3 (upstairs) is in good condition. I gave the owner 3 minor items that needed fixing when I left, but overall, it’s what is stated on the website. Positives - it’s got two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen and living room. The internet worked well before a weather event. There are two Wi-Fi’s, so if there is an issue, there is a backup. If you need to go to Mayo, it is an easy 1 mile walk (one way). It was a perfect distance to get some exercise. The apartment is very close to Hy-vee grocery store and there are many restaurants close by that I would recommend (see ratings on Yelp). Easy access to highway 52 and the Twin Cities are only 1 hour & 20 minutes away. I found the cost of the apartment was about 1/2 of a hotel and it had space for 2-3 people. Building is quiet and is a safe place to stay. The clothes washer and dryer are large units and do a good job. Negatives - it’s an older building and there is a standing A/C unit that sits in the living room but is only needed during warm summer months. It is effective, but noisy. It also is a little difficult to push the A/C into the far back bedroom. Three fans were provided. The basement has a pretty low ceiling. I am 6’2” and had to bend over to move in the basement. Workspace is limited. I used the kitchen table as my location for my computer work station. The chairs are functional but not necessarily comfortable for an 8 hour work day. Overall, this rental was a great value and I will stay again. Thank you.

We had appointments at Mayo Clinic for a week. The apartment very close to clinic. It is a perfect place to stay, super cozy and very clean. walkable to grocery store and walgreens. we loved our stay and Joanne was wonderful to work with. Staying again in December. Highly recommend

Quaint Place

Joanne was the perfect hostess! She met us there upon arrival and went over everything with us in detail. A short drive, 7 minutes to the Mayo Clinic. Walk to Walgreens and or the HyVee right around the corner. Everything was clean and neat, bed was comfortable and having a washer and dryer on site was a huge plus. We would definitely recommend!

If we come to Rochester again, we will stay here if it is available.

This was a very comfortable place for the two of us to stay while receiving care at Mayo Clinic. Joanne is very personable, and we enjoyed meeting here. We had plenty of privacy. It was nice to eat most of our meals in-house, our sheets and mattresses were comfortable, and we enjoyed having televisions in the living room and bedrooms. The temperature in the apartment was nice and cool, which was a bonus as we are used to hot weather this time of year. I got out and walked at least an hour everyday through the neighborhood and found that I could walk to the Mayo building in about 10 minutes. (I am a fast walker.) We were very satisfied with our stay.

Joanne met us upon arrival to check us in. Apartment was comfortable and convenient to grocery store, drug store, etc. Having a space to relax while dealing with stress of medical appointments was wonderful.

Expectations not met

I rented this vrbo with the intention to have a place for my daughter to recover during her cancer treatments. When we got there, the amount of dust was incredible. The place was not recently cleaned or sanitized as advertised. When we attempted to contact the owner about the situation, texts remained unanswered for over 2 hours. It was a desperate call just before midnight with the threat to continue calls every 30 minutes until they were answered, did we hear back. And then instead of an apology and offer to clean it or make arrangements until it could be cleaned, we were met with questions and arguments about how clean it was. Even after sending pictures, the denial continued until we sent a video of a finger sweep of the dust. Someone is collecting cleaning fees and not doing their job. I will credit the owner in that she did offer to clean the place, but that was almost an hour into the debate about how clean it was and me leading her to agree it was not clean with the pics and video. If night #1 was starting this was, I could not imagine 5 weeks of this. Very unhappy!!

Great Stay

I was very pleased with the place. It was very clean and nice. It was also very well stocked, so I had what I needed for cooking. It is in a nice neighborhood next to a walkway along a creek. Joanne was also very timely in responding to questions and was there when I checked in. It is a very convenient walk to Mayo. It was a 20-25 minute walk through a nice neighborhood.
