My mom and her siblings and their spouses stayed here for three nights this week for a small family reunion. They're all 70-plus. We had a family get together on the first night of their stay, with cousins coming in for a potluck, and the outdoor spaces were so perfect for a family gathering of that size. But for the actual stay, it was just the primary group of 10. First of all, the house is GORGEOUS. High-end finishes everywhere, beautiful furniture (some antiques) and absolutely stunning interior decor. It is not at all what I have come to expect from short-term rental houses. The kitchen is BY FAR the most well-equipped kitchen I've ever come across in a vacation rental -- they literally have everything you could possibly want/need stocked there. The outside spaces are just as elegant and gorgeous and so comfortable -- the quiet lapping of the lake, which is just outside the house, plus the cooling nature of the fans make it for an incredibly relaxing experience. The house is isolated and quiet. My mom and aunts and uncles had plenty of places to retire to for small group conversation, with the living room, the downstairs living area, and two full decks allowing them to spread out and not feel crowded. The owners were absolutely lovely and incredibly responsive.
To sum up: this is, by far, the best experience I've ever had at either a VRBO or their competitor's property. If this is one of your choices, do not hesitate -- I can't imagine there's a better property out there.
