"To be honest we just wanted to stay overnight. Clean and basic, been staying in a Chateau beforehand!! Very quiet, no atmosphere. No soft music and the lady owner just 'hanging' around to support you. Maybe so different in the summer months, but if you wish to Villedieu definitely the place to stay overnight."

"The staff were lovely but the condition of the 1st floor was horrible. It smelled of urine & cigarettes. The room looked clean but the smell was horrible & the door had no safety locks. I slept in my clothes & changed to shower & add fresh clothes before leaving. My 13 year old grandson asked if it was a hostel. I paid for 2 nights but we did not return & got a room in another place. "

Great location within walking distance of the town square and other attractions. Only a short drive (20 min) to Mt St Michele. Clean and modern amenities. Just be patient looking for a parking spot near the hotel."
