Very pleasant stay

It was very pleasant stay. Staff was extremely friendly and flexible with our schedules. Slight minus for not having warm water in shower.

The hotel has an attractive courtyard and restaurant attached. There is a parking lot in the back and a bathtub in the room which my travel companion really liked. The room also had the interesting feature of blinds that operated with a switch. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel as it is an easy walk to downtown Avranches.

A Great Find!

A great find. Charming French quaint small hotel with a bar and excellent restaurant. Very much feels like old world charm. Great location within walking distance of the town square and other attractions. Only a short drive (20 min) to Mt St Michele. Clean and modern amenities. Just be patient looking for a parking spot near the hotel.

Neat older facility. Only restaurant available was in hotel. It was good, but a little pricey. Breakfast options were great. Smoking area in courtyard was unavoidable unfortunately.

Lovely hotel

Everything was perfect! The service, exellent food and nice room. Lovely garden to relax in. Easy to find and lots of free parkings on the premises. If you walk a bit, you will have an amazing view of Mt Saint Michele. Will comeback!

Fabulous meal and overight stop.

We used to say here regularly up till 9 years ago when we stopped using the Cherbourg Ferry, but had wanted to use it again as we always enjoyed it. We feared that it might have changed, but our fears were groundless. Eric and his staff were their usual friendly and efficient selves. It was lovely to find that nothing had changed except they have upgraded the accommodation very tastefully since our last visit. There is also a kettle provided now. The 4 course set menu at €26.50 was superb and we had a lovely meal again. Every dish is freshly cooked with excellent quality meat and vegetables. The apple pie is well worth waiting 12 minutes for. You need that break after the huge irresistible cheeseboard that precedes it anyway. Unfortunately it was raining so we were unable to enjoy our usual pre-dinner drink in the fabulous enclosed garden. Altogether a wonderful return. We have promised we will return sooner next time.

Hotellet erbjöd lunchmat när vi anlände trots att det var stängt, maten förträfflig och servicen likaså. Hotellet ligger lite i utkanten men passar bra för cyklister som oss. enda nackdelen var att rummet endast hade fläkt inte AC och det var mycket varmt under vår vistelse. Fantastisk trädgård för relax eller en kopp thé

Schöne Unterkunft mit einem guten Frühstück und bequemen Betten. Parken im Hinterhof ist sehr gut erreichbar und sicher. Schönes altes , aber gut modernisiert Hotel. Man kann abends noch schön im Garten sitzen und die Ruhe geniessen. Perfekt für ein mehrtägigen Aufenthalt.

観光にはいい場所、駅までは遠い

階段や廊下が狭いので大きなスーツケースはちょっとつらい。部屋の一部に床がきしむ箇所あり。階下に気を使う。窓から見えるホテルの庭は手入れがされており素晴らしい。レセプショニストの方はチェックアウト程度の英語は知っておいた方がいいように思う。が、総じて皆さん親切でした。

Un bel hôtel de tradition

Cet hôtel allie son décor traditionnel de vieux relais de poste, ses poutres anciennes et ses cuivres reluisantes avec une qualité de confort et d'équipement des chambres très agréable. Notre chambre donnait sur le jardin intérieur, et c'était un plaisir de le traverser ou de s'y promener. Le restaurant est un peu cher, mais la cuisine est très fine....
